Congratulations. If you don't mind, could you please elaborate on details of the emails sent? (e.g. sample context, address info, etc.?)

My timeline is in line with yours (minus 7-10 day) and my fiancee also advised to contact the office via phone/email instead of waiting 30 days (as stated in NOA2).

Appreciate any insight!

Hi all,

Quick question, on the VJ website, it gives me an estimated timeline date range for my NOA2 to come through. That date passed over a week ago. It's an estimate at the end of the day, so of course I understand that.

My question is that as I'm sure everyone knows, it also says that if the date range has passed, i should inquire with the uscis about the petition. As my case is still within the 5 month average processing times, will calling the uscis be of any use? Or will they just tell me to get lost.

Any ideas or input as to the reasons it may not be adjudicated yet? Pot luck?

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I called NVC (603) 334-0700 and as "forewarned" by ChrisF (member above) I got a busy signal at first and was put on hold for about 20-25 minutes. However, surprisingly, the person at the other end was very nice and professional.

After about 1.5 week since NOA2 I was hoping I'd get lucky to get my case number through this call but the rep said that they just received it (today) thus I need to wait about 20-30 days. Well, at least I know they have received it and it's in process. Back to patience...

I've called about 6-7 times, and I got a guy named Kevin once that was nice. He didn't try to lecture me about waiting 8 weeks. Everyone else has lectured me. Glad you got a good one, AND got good news!
