If you are adjusting from K-1 then I think most likely your interview will be waived as your I-485 is still in acceptance stage. Good luck.

thanks, that's what I was thinking too but the poster above (from NY) got their testing and interview update a few days ago...and we applied almost at the same time. So I assume its just a gamble at this point?

Ive been out of country for a while, perhaps we do have a letter waiting at home...maybe they just didn't update the online status/email me.

still no update for me for (I-145)...I'm still in Acceptance stage since early Jan - New York is so slow :( :(

oh waw well someone must really want me to get my GC cause mine changed today again. I now have a date in may for an interview now. I haven't even gotten the EAD and ap yet! I may have them for just a few weeks if everything goes well. Oh boy!! Not complaining :)

I'm in NY and mine is still in acceptance, but I got an interview waiver letter in the mail a week ago. You might get it too since it's still in acceptance.

Hi Everyone,

I had an interview on April 16th in NYC and it went great! The immigration officer told us everything looks great and that all i need to do is to send them a letter from court stating that my name is clear. Which I did the very next day.

How long is the wait from now? Is anyone in similar situation?

I know they got it on Monday the 21st, and now i am just biting my nails waiting.

Thanks everyone and good luck!!

Got a letter today, dated April 22nd, stating that my wifes case may be eligible for non-interview.

Also it stated that her case will be delayed by 6 months due to unrelated workload issues.

So not good for us Jan filers or anyone after that I suppose..

Also got an interview waiver letter...

Does anyone know if it really takes 6 months? I know it varies state to state but if any NYC applicants know or have experience on this, please let us all know!

It takes how long it takes. Some people get it quick, some people take forever. I don't think it matters what state you're from if you get interview waiver, as they are processed at CSC and not by your local office.

How long were you on Testing & Interview for? I'm also in the Dallas office and might be getting a waiver too (hopefully not)...

If you are adjusting from F-1 visa you won't get your interview waived. There are 50% of chances of interview waiver while adjusting from K-1 but if you are adjusting from any other visa you definitely get an interview. I have also noticed that who got interview waiver letter had their I-485 status in Acceptance stage and it never changed to testing and interview so as your status is showing testing and interview you will have an interview. Good luck.

February 28- AOS package sent. ( I-130, I-485, I-765)
March 5- Package delivered to USCIS Chicago.
March 11- Email and text notification with Receipt Numbers.
March 14- Hardcopy of NOA1 for all three applications.
March 21- Received biometrics appointment letter for 04/04/2014
April 2 - Completed Walk in Biometrics appointment successfully. (Original Appointment was for 4th April)
April 9- I-485 Case status has been updated to " Testing & Interview "
April 16- Text and email alert for case update for AOS interview on 22nd May 2014.
April 18- Hardcopy of Interview notice received in mail.
May 22- AOS interview, approved on the spot and got stamp in my passport.
May 27 - Approval notice of I-130 and I-485 in mail.
May 29- Received GC in mail.

ROC Timeline:

03/28/2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

03/29/2016: Package delivered.

03/31/2016: cheque cached.

04/02/2016: Received NOA1 in mail, dated 03/29/2016.

04/13/2016: Received Biometrics notice for the date of 04/25/2016.

04/21/2016: Early walk in Biometrics

09/28/2016: Text and email alert about approval of ROC

10/06/2016: Received 10-years green card in mail
