The words are interchangeable in the US. Most Americans have their, paycheck(monies earned) deposited directly into a bank account so therefore some may not receive a physical pay check/paystub. Although a copy of the actual monies earned and deductions can be printed out online . It,really depends on the, employer. For example, I have my paycheck direct deposited and I can go online to my companies HR site and print every copy of every check I've ever received year to date. Some smaller companies give actual paychecks still and in that case at the bottom of the physical check.then a paystub would be attached at the bottom and would be easily separated from the, check for recordkeeping.o basically it depends on the employer if a phy see ical paystub is available.

The pay stub is the paper record of what you are paid and what taxes are removed from your pay check. You may have to ask your human resources (hr) office to supply you with them.

The words pay stub and pay check are not interchangeable. One is money and the other is the record of the payment. Some people do not get a physical pay stub if they are paid by direct deposit because they choose to not have a paper copy. However it's a good thing to have and check to make sure you are being paid correctly.
