No, just curious how many people talk about guns being so bad actually own them. Your opinion isn't worth any more if you own a gun.

I don't think guns themselves are the problem.

I think the amount of them and how easily accessible they are to pretty much anyone who wants one is the problem. Or part of it. The rest is environment and other social issues.

I think we all agree on that. So... do you own any?

I don't think we all agree on that, because anything that's brought up that could be put in place to restrict how easy it is to get a gun is met with "DO NOT INFRINGE UPON MY RIGHTS!!!!" from the crazies.

No, there are no guns in my home.

I believe she is.

That's be stellar ! Maybe she can get involved in local Republican party goings-on throughout the year.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Universal registration would go a long ways toward reaching that goal. Take California, for instance, the most proactive and successful state in the Union, for removing firearms from those that cannot legally possess them. Without such strict registration requirements, how could a state even come close to what California is doing?

I've been to ESL more than once and I swear it's the same dude I've seen every time I drive through there. You'd think it's just him in the entire city. This is why crime there is off the chart. One of my sailors was robbed there at gunpoint. I took him to the police station there, that one cop was there and tried to take his report. His attitude was so bad, we didn't even finish the paperwork, I had to drag him out of there before we both got locked up.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

Here is something most people would support - stiffen existing penalties. For instance, most areas have like a 3-10 year prison term for a Felon in possession of a firearm. I would support 25 years minimum.

Assault with a Firearm? 50 year min.

Second offense? Life.

I got a best friend who has a worthless stepson. 3 DUI's 2 shoplifting's, sorry as hell, has stolen eveything he has

So about a year ago the kid gets two felony theft's and one felony obstruction. They send him to rehab

He got arrested again first of December for failure to appear. Trial pending

Brat wanted a Benelli shotgun for Christmas. Grandma and Mamma got it for him. I can't even look at them right now

Grandma and Momma made sure he lead a life with no consequences and every bad thing happened was the devil

I hope they give the shat 10 years.

So then the felons will register their guns.... The gang banger will register? If you cannot control drugs then you certainly cannot control guns.

This is what you want with universal registration. correct.

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."
