N-400 - JANUARY 2014 FILERS

I was only going to send tax return transcripts, copy of birth certificate for our daughter (born in 2013) and maybe a copy of our lease.

They are not asking for much evidence in the instructions, actually according to it 3 years of tax returns should be enough. I feel like that they got all they needed during the filing for ROC, which in my case was last year. You never know with USCIS though, might be better to send more than what I'm sending.

Never assume USCIS has access to your whole file....or so they say :-) So always better to send more than less, in my experience!

Got my text & email confirmation of receipt today! Official I-797 to follow by mail. Case transferred to NBC.

A question for the guys who applied for N-400 this month and their ROC was last year, i heard the finger print valid for 12 mont, u guys still will do biometric ?

I guess I'll wait and see if they send me a Biometric appointment letter....hopefully not, I just got mine done this past summer. Although, I've already paid the Biometric fee included in the $680....so if I don't have to do the Bio appointment, think they'll send us a refund? LOL!

I know better than to assume anything when it comes to them In the instructions for N-400 it states what "evidence" you need to send though and one option was to only send 3 years of tax return transcripts. I am sending the birth certificate for our baby who was born 4 months ago and maybe the copy of our lease in addition to that, both strong evidence. But like I said, you don't have to do what I do and I agree, it never hurts to send more.

I have a question. When we came here on 2009. We live in new jersey to a friend's house for 2 weeks. Do I need to include that to the address where I lived in?

When i first got married to my wife we lived with my father in law for 3 months. I included that. To be honest with you i would tell you to include it. I want you to be in the safe side.

Yes you still have to take the biometrics even though that you had one less then 12 months ago. And now USCIS won't refund you the biometrics fee lol. I wish they would. The reason is they could take it again later for your new application. Good luck.

According to the USCIS naturilization policy the fingerprints are valid for fifteen months http://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume12-PartB-Chapter2.html#S-B
