Any help [K1 follow Case number NVC]

Hi,guys

I have question ?

I approved Noa2 on 15 November 2013

Last night my husband called to NVC to asked if they issued my case number or not but " they didn't even received my case", " it's take at least 6-8 weeks " they said

But you know,my friend approved Noa2 after me 1 week but She already got Case number !!! you know,That's suck !!!

So all yours guys think it's possible that my case lost ? if it's lost ,then it's means I have to start over again ?

Right now my husband and I are only waiting .......until middle of Jan 2014

Any help or advise would be appreciated

I read California Service Center is well known for being slow for sent I-129F approval to NVC. Most of VJers here that their I-129Fs were processing at CSC complained about that. Mine was processing at TSC and I've got my case number 2 weeks after approval date on USCIS website.

I'm curious though, if you already married - by calling your significant other as husband- why you are guys filed I-129F for K-1 visa? If you don't mind my asking. Anyhow, good luck for the rest of your journey.

please update your timeline... Cases at California are taking longer than other cases, perhaps your friend is from Texas.... I am not sure... please go to the USCIS website and track it with your receipt number and see if it gives you some sort of message like "your petition was sent to the NVC".... maybe that helps... but yes, it does take up to two months for them to get your case... please keep checking with them... good luck!!! I hope this helps...

I'm sorry, I did not mean to lecture your words. We are on the immigration path. If you call him a husband when the CO interview you for K-1 visa, that could be trigger a trouble. The CO would think you already married and your K-1 visa probably get denied because of that. There are some threads about that subject here on VJ.

On November 15, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Last night we called to USCIS, "We already sent your case to NVC" they said

For sure it's have been approved because my boyfriend has received Noa2 hard copy.....

But however I will keep calling NVC to ask my case anyway...

I agree with my dear friend, kmiami15. Your status means the case file is still at USCIS. Here my last update on USCIS website. If you get this message like this, you should started call NVC or DoS (Visa Unit) a week or 2 weeks after that.

On October 17, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

Calling people we are involved with a relationship in Thailand our " husband " is common. It helps us save face when dealing with the old school of thought.

The embassy will expect you to know this person is not your B friend any longer if he proposed marriage to you. When you said yes you became a fiancée. Make sure you know what the relationship is before you have to try to explain because they may not even give you a chance.

Correction, I did not say "months"... I said 1-2 months... mine took almost a month to leave USCIS and it was a month between it was approved and I got my case number.... and mine was at TSC.... CSC is known for taking longer (there are many posts that prove this) from what I have seen... This petition was approved Nov 15 and it has been a month and a half and no case number yet (to prove what I said about CSC and the process taking 1-2 months to reach NVC and/or get a case number)....
