What are you talking about? I didn't say the posters question was ignorant!!! There is never a dumb question....only a dumb answer and I had quoted the answer someone gave, not the question, as being ignorant. Please check what I was referring to. "mostly Philippine or black people"......what the heck!

Actually it is Filipino and many choose not to be called "Black"!

7/10-11/13.. Medical Exam completed@St.Lukes Clinic
1/15-16/14.. 2nd Medical exam updated
1/21/14...... k1 interview-Visa Approved

8/29/14...... Submitted AOS application
10/03/14.....Biometrics
01/07/15.....Received my EAD card

01/31/15..... I got my SSN from the mail

04/20/15......AOS Interview - Approved :star:

4/24/15 .......Got the Driving Permit Card

4/30/15 .......Green Card Received :) (Exp.4/20/17)

Tim/Mav, there is clearly a breakdown in communication somewhere! 1. I didn't write Phillipine/Fillipino.......I quoted the poster!!! Do you understand? 2. I was not the one who made the "black" comment.........I quoted the poster... Do you understand? It was not me, who said these things I was calling both statements ignorant. Please, before you start criticizing me all over VJ, please understand what you're saying. oh my goodness!!

Just wanted to add one more red flag issue -- filling too soon after a divorce.

The questions you are asked about your relationship will vary from case-to-case. If your case has anything unusual about it, or contains “red flags” that might lead the consular officer to question your motives for marrying or eligibility for a visa, you should be prepared to discuss those.


For instance, if there is a large age difference between you and your fiancé(e) or if your primary languages are different, you will likely be questioned on those details of your relationship. If your fiancé(e) sponsored another person for a green card or a K-1 visa in the past or if you have previously applied for a green card or K-1 visa based on a marriage or engagement to a U.S. citizen, expect to discuss those previous relationships. If you or your fiancé(e) have children from previous relationships, expect to be asked about where they will live and how they will blend into your new family.

To the issue, the Phils. is more easier to get by with a great age difference, as my friend that took me there to Cebu the first time, is 59, his wife is 19! No problems. The other guy that went with us that just had a baby girl here in the US is 40 years older than his wife, and I am 35 years older than my wife.

To me, your finical situation, your tax returns, any previous divorces, or some kind of charge aganist you for domestic violence, is more of an issue than age in the Phils..,.,.,., hope I did not offend any one.,.,.,.!!!

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Just for clarification, when I said "troll" I meant a person trolling on a site for the sole purpose of inciting negative comments, agitation and aggravation. I did not mean a physical troll (I have never seen one so I can't describe it).
