  • Our Story
My husband filed the CR1 petition first week of December, 2012. We had a co sponsor as well, like some of you here. A lot of couples use Immigration attorney to speed up the process. Well, that is not our case. We did it ourselves. Like what my husband always tell me, we can read. all we have to do is read and follow instructions. One advantage is, he was here in the Philippines most of the time during the process. He spend time reading and reading especially the Manila Us Embassy website and this site "Visa Journey" which served a very good source of information. And so, we are able to put together everything we needed (i.e. forms, & documents) before sending it to the NVC office in the US. Most importantly, follow the NVC instructions very carefully all the details written or typed in the forms you filled up and all paperworks necessary and asked for from the NVC. Check everything before sending them. One of the most important tool you need is to read and read more... It took us about 11 months to finish everything up to the VISA. It's worth the wait... Slowly but surely.... Good luck to everyone!
