Dear Members..

I want to file my AOS and Advance parole together but i read some part that makes me worry. This is what i read

1. "Leave the US, even with Advance parole document, may impact to your ability to return to the US".

2. If you use an Advance Parole Document to leave and return to a Port of Entry in the US, you will upon your return, be an "applicant for admission".

I hope you guys want to help me for explain the meaning.

If you have not overstayed in the USA for 180 days or more then when you leave the USA, you will use your advance parole to get back in. As long as you are not out of the USA for an extended period of time you should be fine. There are other forums on this site that state that people have used the advanced parole (AP) without any issue.

Aug 28, 2018 (Day 23): Biometrics Appt

May 06, 2019 (Day 274): In Line For Interview

Jun 11, 2019 (Day 311): Interview Date

July 01, 2019 (Day 327) : Oath Ceremony I AM NOW A US CITIZEN!!!!

When using AP, you are paroled back into the US. You will be taken to secondary inspection. If you have no overstay of your K-1 of more than 180 days, then you should not have any issues with being able to re-enter when traveling with AP. There is a never a guarantee of entrance with AP, but most people have no problems when using it. Technically, there is no guarantee of entry even with a green card.
