I am totally lost in this whole process but I am trying to get my fiance'e back from New Zealand to America and I forgot to put my birth certificate in with the papers. I also paid the fee with cash instead of a check or money order. Has anyone out there ever done something similar and if so what is the best way to go about fixing it? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I believe they will send your petition back to you because they are very specific on how fees should be paid. Heck, they even send petitions back for people who paid 1 dollar extra.

They will send it back yo you. You will have to resend the entire package with a check and include all the necessary documents. It would be in your best interest to read the guides at the top of the page.
