Trying to bring wife over - confused!

I recently married a Taiwanese woman and she entered the US a few times before on visitor visa - always within the allowed timeframe.

I'm trying to get her PR status, so I followed the instructions on the USCIS website:

And filed I-130 using the step-by-step instruction here (thanks!). She lives in Taiwan currently and I wish to have her adjustment request processed at the AIT (American Institute in Taiwan), and noted as such on the I-130 request.

I received my I-797C last week with a receive date of 11/20 and priority date of 11/20. Preference Classification states "201 B INA SPOUSE OF USC"

Should I file I-485 now at the Chicago lockbox or should I prepare the documents related to I-485 and wait for either USCIS to contact me or AIT to contact my wife in Taiwan to submit the forms? What other steps do I need?

An I-485 is for someone already present in the US. Your wife is in Taiwan, so cannot file an I-485.

the i485 is to adjust status in the US when the person is here. since she lives in Taiwan, she will go through consular processing, so no need to file that form

you will need to wait until the NVC or National Visa Center contacts you. check the guides and the forum for spouses abroad.

Right now,all you have to do is wait for the approval notice from USCIS. You can check the status of your case here https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

After approval,your case will be forwarded to the National Visa Center for further processing.
