Hi Sir/Ma'am,

I have a question too and I would really be glad for you to help me understand more about my concern. My concern is the I-134: Affidavit of Visa for K1.

My petitioner got into an accident when he was 18 and he sustained a Traumatic brain injury, he's not allowed to work in US so his insurance pays him lifetime. He lived here in the Philippines for 5 years and that's where I met him. Now, he's back in the US. We sent out the package yesterday. My question is, what can he use for the I-134? Can he use the insurance? Social security?

Thank you so much. I would greatly appreciate your help.

God bless you!

Sincerely,

Anne

i really wanna help you and tell you good news, but i'm not sure that his insurance or SS would cover both of you. Is the only and only one able to benefit from that. However, i would suggest you to contact an attorney here in the US. Good luck on your journey.

If his combined income between the insurance and the SS meet the income requirement, then he should be fine. He will need to provide solid proof of the insurance and SS income he receives, A letter from the SSA stating his SS benefits and the 1099 he gets at the end of the year for the SS should work for that. He needs something from the insurance company showing his settlement amount and payment agreement. Along with those things he can show bank statements to prove the amounts he claims is the actual amount he gets each month.
