Oct 2011-- fell in love <3
6/7/12 --He flew to North Carolina for 2 weeks
11/4/12--He flew to North Carolina for 3 months
6/6/13 --She flew to Ireland for 2 weeks
7/12/13--He flew to North Carolina for 2 weeks.
8/1/13 --Sent I129F pkg to USCIS Texas Service Center
8/5/13 --I129F petition/NoA1 rec'd
9/30/13--NOA2/mailed you a notice that we have
approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E
10/1/13--shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to
the Department of State for visa processing.
10/07/13--Rec'd NOA2 Acceptance Official Letter in Mail.
10/14/13--started gathering documents needed for interview
(police clearance,immunization records,birth cert)
10/18/13--Emailed NVC for case number (no reply yet)
10/21/13--He flew to NC
10/28/13--Got our Case number via email from NVC
10/31/13--Got official NVC letter stating I129F approval pkg
forwarded to US Embassy in Dublin
01/08/14--He flew back to Dublin. DS160 submitted.
01/17/14--Medical Exam Scheduled for 01/29/14
01/24/14--Rec'd Date of Interview.. Feb 10, 1pm WHOOHOOO

01/29/14--Medical completed.

02/10/14--APPROVED FOR VISA!!!

03/25/14--Flew to North Carolina

06/22/14--Married on the Beach @ Oak Island, NC!!

According to the Kingston embassy website i need both?

FOR K-1: Letter w/case number, 3pg instruction sheet (with all the info and forms you will need), Photo Specifications, DS-260, Instructions for ON-LINE Completion of DS-160, Evidence Which May Be Presented To Meet The Public Charge Provisions Of The Law (DS-2000), I-134, Vaccination Requirements, Information Sheet for your Medical Examination (2 pages), Medical History Form.

I guess that depends on each country?

Cause in Malaysia, I only had to complete DS-160

K1 Visa:


11-07-2012: I-129F sent

05-31-2013: Packet 3 received

10-23-2013: Packet 3 sent

11-19-2013: Interview

04-07-2014: POE Boston

05-07-2014: Got married after 12 years of LDR! :dancing:



AOS:


10-10-2014: Filed (together with combo EAD/AP)

10-27-2014: NOA received

12-10-2014: Request for Initial Evidence (RFI) received

11-12-2014: Biometrics Appt

02-03-2015: RFI received by USCIS

02-25-2015: Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case letter received

(completely forgot): GC received. Resident since 07/04/2015.

DS-160 is for K-1, non-immigrant visa applicants. DS-260 is for immigrant visa applicants. They have changed to the DS-160 for ALL K-1 applicants across the globe. It happened rather suddenly, but it is not a bad thing to streamline the process and make the same form requirement for everyone no matter what country you interview in. Kerry sent a memo about the change, and the last part of his memo is quite clear about not using the DS-260 for a K-1 >

You may not, under any circumstances, accept DS-260 Immigrant Visa Electronic Application forms for K visa applications.

Question in reference to this document. Since this is all new to me.. My fiancee who is Cuban is the one who would fill this out correct? Once NVC approves the application of course.

Also in the state site it still confuses me it states immigrants fill out the 160 but non immigrants fill out the other 260.

I know it states across the board the 160 but does that mean immigrant and non immigrant?

I would have called the offices today but they were closed due to weather.

And Here we go again -

New K1 submitted - 1-9-16

NOA1 - 1-12-16 (according to USCIS)

Text received 1-15-16

hardcopy - not received yet as of 1-26-16
