Comments : As my husband was out of the country for the first appointment date, we got it rescheduled 2 months later. We sat for about 40 mins in the USCIS waiting area, got called through by a super friendly member of staff, sat in his office for literally about 5 minutes and was told I was approved. Asked no questions other than what he was already checking off on one of the forms I had submitted (whichever one asks about being part of a terrorist group) and then asked why we didn't just get married on my visa waiver and file for AOS that way...are you kidding?! Anyway, he was super nice and it was super quick and I'm beyond happy I can relax somewhat for the next almost 2 years before I start filing for the extended greencard!!!!

Green Card Received :
Comments : 5.31.16 - I received my NOA on today, but was dated 5.25.16. Check has not been cashed yet. Letter gives 1 year extension of current greencard.

6.2.2016 - check cashed today

7.28.206 - received my biometrics appointment letter. Had called 2 weeks prior to enquire where it was. An enquiry was sent to my local field office as it had fallen outside normal processing times (30 days is the normal time). Later was issued on the 27th July and I received it on the 28th. Also, the receipt number is totally different to the one that was on my initial letter extending my greencard for a year...!

3.19.17 Just checked my case status on USCIS site, and it finally changed! Said that they had ordered my new card on the 17th March 2017!!! WOOHOO!!!! Finally :) Will be even happier when I receive it, but so happy that it finally got approved!!

POE Review: San Francisco
Event Description
Entry Date : 2014-01-14
Embassy Review : My entry in to the States was so pain free! When I got called to the window, the guy asked me what was the purpose of my visit. So I told him I was coming in on the K1 visa at which point he asked me for the package. I handed it over and he looked through it for ages. Asked if I had any children - I said no unless you class dog as a child (he did not think this was funny!). He then asked me to verify my address as the one on my customs form was different to what was in the package - I told him we had a new address and that we had let USCIS know in December. He wrote the new address on the package and then enquired about my medical as he couldn't see the sheet from when I went. I told him I had definitely been and then he managed to find it.
He finished checking the papers, wrote in my passport what day I entered and then stamped it and sent me on my way. It was a really easy transition
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
