First of all I must say once upon a time this site use to be so active and informative, I mean any question you have the answer would be here but I have come to realize that the site has changed drastically. People hardly post on here any more and very few people give their input on topics. I hope all the members that use to be on here will continue the journey because there are new members that will rely on this site during their journey.

I have looked on here to see if anyone posted a time frame on how long it took for them to see changes on the CEAC site but there is no time line to follow.I know everyone situation is different but can you guys regardless of your individual situation put a time line of how often you checked your status on the CEAC site and how often it changed.

Thanks

True it really does help to know people that went through similar situations as you are going through and it's really informative. Even though my husband is off AP I will continue to come here on VJ.Timelines are important. And sometimes you are stressed out and need answers and someone or even many been through what your going through it really can ease your mind. VJ is the bestrose.gif

I agree with A&B and Extreme Happiness.

Ever since this was recommended by a friend (she used VJ for her process), I make it my point of duty to come to the site every day, although my husband and I haven't filed yet. I have learnt so much from reading the Guides and the experiences of other VJ members. I do hope that those who have been approved and gotten their visas approved, that they would still come back to help those of us are newbies and need plenty "milk" to grow us up.

CEAC timeslines very. The site should think about a possible enhancement and create a CEAC timeline status so one could input dates. Atleast it would give VJ'ers an idea what to expect. All you can do is search through posts and timelines to come up with your own estimate. I've cut and pasted my personal timeline. In no way shape or form all will experience what I did. Some are in and out of the process rather quickly, others spend significant amount of time in AP. No one will ever be able to confirm for you. All you will have is your own assumptions for how your particular application is being processed.

5/28/2013 – Emailed DHL Instructions to kingstoniv@state.gov

6/5/2013 - CEAC status updated

6/11/2013 – Email inquiry sent to KingstonIV@state.gov

6/18/2013 – Second email inquiry sent to KingstonIV@state.gov

6/21/2013 – Received response from IV unit stating Administrative Processing

6/21/2013 – Sent reply to response asking to confirm DHL instructions were received and asking about petition expiration

6/21/2013 – CEAC Status updated

6/24/2013 – CEAC Status updated

6/25/2013 – CEAC status updated

6/27/2013 – Sent another email asking for DHL instructions confirmation and petition expiration

7/2/2013- Contacted Department of State and informed visa denied under 221(g), Sent email to KingstonIV@state.gov asking for clarification between my fiancé being informed approved and DOS stating case denied under 221(g).

7/2/2013 – CEAC Status Updated

7/9/2013 – Received response from KingstonIV unit stating there was no discrepancy and would not have been informed of anything. However, case is undergoing Administrative Processing and will be complete in due course.

7/9/2013 – CEAC status Updated

7/11/2013 – CEAC Status Updated

7/18/2013 – Sent email questioning why CEAC status still reads READY instead of ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING, Asked about DHL confirmation, and asked why eligibility has not been determined

7/18/2013 – 1:34pm sent email requesting Superior to explain inconsistency with the application processes posted on Kingston Embassy website and the processing of my fiance’s visa application.

7/22/2013 – 1:47pm CEAC Status updated. Contacted DOS spoke with Bethany who stated eligibility not determined. Case is open and active.

7/23/2013 – 1:53 pm CEAC status updated

7/31/2013 – 8:48 am CEAC status updated

8/2/2013- 2:47 pm CEAC status updated Spoke with Sarah who confirmed status changed from immigrant visa to non-immigrant visa. I asked if eligibility has been determined. Sarah stated usually eligibility is granted when the status changes from immigrant to non-immigrant.

8/7/2013 - 12:01 CEAC status updated however case creation date changed from 3/8/2013 to 8/7/2013 Status says ”Ready” Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days. If no interview was required, please check back in two business days for the status of your application.

8/12/2013 - Received congressional inquiry response. Request received on 7/31, embassy responded on 8/12

8/13/2013 Visa Issued

8/14/2013 Visa picked up by DHL

8/16/2013 Visa received and ready for pick up at Mo’Bay DHL

At first we were emailing from both accounts, towards the end he was emailing from his. They took his passport at the the interview. The only thing missing was the DHL registration which we emailed the day of the interview.

They may have just given you the generic answer, and actually logged in his case when they received your husband's email- he's the applicant. I once was able to get DOS to confirm they responded to an email when I saw CEAC update. Thats when I figured out email responses could generate an update. I always noticed 5 business days was when they responded to emails.

Beancamp Thank you for your update I was going to ask you if you knew you were missing document since the interview but I noticed later on that all you were missing was the DHL

confirmation...wow...and they delayed your visa for all that time for the DHL confirmation...SMH....well I am glad you finally got thru...Just hoping we dont have to wait all that time.
