6 months over still no noa2. I know people are waiting longer. I cant imagine hearing nothing till 9 months etc. The stress might just get to me. please help :( just needed to let off some steam

It is frustrating, I wish I could be there now. But, think of it this way, you have waited 6 months already, you are over the hump. As stressful as it is, even if you have to wait 3 months, you have already done 6. Hang tight, shouldn't be much longer.

10/28/13-I-130 Sent via USPS to Chicago Lock Box from Abroad

11/01/13-I-130 received at facility

11/12/13-Contacted Chicago Lock box to find info on our petition and was told it is being returned.

11/14/13-Received package back from Lock Box with RFE to resend it with correct filing fee.

(Money Order not drawn on US account)

11/25/13-I-130 Sent via USPS to Chicago Lock Box from Abroad with correct method of payment.

12/06/13-Received NOA1 via Email stating our case has been transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

12/12/13-Checked USCIS site for Case Status. Seen our case is in initial Review.

12/16/13-Received Hardcopy NOA1 in mail.

Feb 5-crossed border to US to see hubs and son off at airport. Flew to CA to establish domicile.

Feb 11-Case touched to update hub's change of address

Please dont give up. Simeone commented yesterday that one idea to fill the time is to make lists and act on them of all the preparations you need to make to help your spouse transition to the US; all the things you can do to makenit lesa daunting and stressful.

There was a couple on VJ just a month or so ago who had gotten all the way through approval but knew they still had potentially another 2-4 mths of paperwork and visa interview wait times. They felt the could no linger bare the stress in their relationship....they cancelled their whole application.

Many of us begged them to not give up...but they did.

DON'T GIVE UP! :)

It is VERY hard but not impossible. Just think about the future and keep yourself involved in other activities to take your mind off of it ( I tried but it's kind of impossible not to think about it).

I know there are days...weeks...that just seem unbearable and that the wait seems like it will never end - but you can do this! You have already made it through 6 months and that' takes a lot of strength and it also proves to yourself just how strong you are! On the cheesy side - just take one day at a time. I have to remind myself to not think about the next months of waiting and just focus on what I have to do that day. My husband is good at reminding me that every day that passes is 1 more closer to the visa. :) On the days that seem extra hard - think of something you can do to be encouraging to your spouse/family. Even when I feel like I don't have the strength to feel hopeful, I somehow find myself wanting to be strong/hopeful for my husband. Just like he does for me.

I can only imagine what it feels like but please hang in there.

Some things you can do are -- send him a postcard or greeting card weekly, start discussing furniture or wall colors or decorations for your new home, send him pictures of said items so that you can "argue" about whose taste is better, etc., discuss future vacations and places you would be visiting in a year after you are together, try focusing on things that will happen AFTER you are together in the same place.

At some point you will stop checking VJ all the time because seeing people get approved who applied after you will make you insane with rage at the injustice of the system.

Oh wait.. you wanted something positive. Well, one day you will be together. Just hold onto that. It's what I do.. and somehow we haven't got divorced yet :P

6 Mar 2013 -- I130 transferred to Orlando local field office (which started the whole nightmare)

Mar 2013 to October 2013 no one would tell us where our case was or what was happening. I suspected the whole time it was just sitting in a corner somewhere in the Orlando field office. I was pretty much right.

October 2013 - get congressman involved. Congressman asks USCIS repeatedly about our case but they won't even tell them anything.

31 Jan 2014- finally get NOA2!!!! (we think the nightmare is over!)

NVC

Our case was not sent from the Orlando field office as it should have been. The nightmare continues. We kept calling NVC and asking if they received our case, and they always said "NO" and that we had to wait 90 business days for it to be received. We called USCIS during this time and they kept telling us it had been sent. After the 90 days of agonizing frustration, NVC then started telling us we had to wait 120 business days. I got our congressman involved again, and they told the congressman it was sitting at the Orlando office this whole time (just as I thought it was!).

22 Apr 2014 -- NVC received
16 May 2014 -- NVC case number assigned
24 May 2014 -- AoS and IV bills paid

28 May 2014 -- Sent AoS and IV Packages

6 June 2014 -- documents scanned

18 July 2014 -- false checklist from NVC

21 July 2014 -- Case complete

28 July 2014 -- receive case complete email from NV

30 July 2014 -- interview booked! September 11 here I come!

My hubby is coming here in the philippines and he'll be staying for 1 month, just sharing, because somehow my waiting time will be lessen for one month,..6 month waiting here..

december 2013 Rfe
february 2014 sent Rfe
March 2014 approved at USCIS
june 2014 NVC received
march 2 2015 sent aos and iv package
march 8 i emailed nvc request to expedite my case
march 13 approved expedite request
march 17 in transit status in CEAC
march 19 case file at US embassy
march 23 first day of medical at Slec
march 29 personal evaluation...passed!
April 6 immunization
april 13 interview at USEM. under Administrative Processing Reason; Medical result was still not forwarded by SLEC.
After my interview i called SLEC they told me they forwarded it at USEM same day of my interview.
July 29 I emailed SLEC to confirm again when did they forwarded my Medical Result at USEM. They replied...forwarded April 13.
July 30 status update date change FINALLY.
September 2015 went in US embassy to withdraw my passport coz I've waited for how many months and no approval yet. Only to find out my case file has been sitting in the corner ...no one reviewed my medical result. to make the story short, I took medical again for the second time , then after a my medical result released, I have my visa on my hands.

December 2015... 10 year green card arrived
December 2015 Driver's license issued..yay! <p>

I feel you I just saw the processing times for NBC last month was October 1,2012 now they updated it to October 2,2012..... Great:(( no movement at aaaaaallllll:/;(:(
