Hi Maeley,

I had a co-interviewed friend here in Doha, Qatar today, He also had the same situation like you. His NBi clearance is not yet submitted and we were interviewed today and he told the CO if he can submit it in a later time. But the good part of it, the interview went on and he was approved today as I speak to you. The consul told him to submit it once he got the NBI and drop it off here in Qatar US Consul. Better to ask the US Consul there in Manila just to make sure if its possible to have an interview while to submit the NBI later.

Anyway, goodluck to you guys.

Let me share with you my experience.

Our NBI clearance has a 1 year validity. My interview was in May 2013 and my NBI was valid until June 2013. He said that I needed to get a newer one. I tried to say that it's valid till June but he said his point. The immigration will check your papers and they need to see that your police clearance is current or at least valid for 6 months. Anyway...

If you read my interview post (sometime in May), I asked the consul "What shall I say to my fiance if he asks the outcome of this interview?" He said that he needed those papers otherwise it looks "very approvable" (those were his words).

My NBI did take a long time even if it was just being renewed. As soon as I got it, I sent the papers with my passport via ARAMEX their assigned courier. And in a week's time, I got an SMS that my passport was ready for collection.

My point here is as long as you "pass" the interview and even if your NBI is missing, it's ok. Just make sure you ask that question (What can I tell my fiance about the outcome of this interview?) In case he doesn't say anything about visa approval.

All the best to you.

Blessings

Jessica

Yes it is but the country they are doing the visa application in is SINGAPORE. They are only requesting an NBI from the Philippines.

Your logic would mean anyone asking about a Police Certificate from another country you would immediately move their posts to the country where they are trying to get the Police Clearance and not the to the country where they are processing their application. rolleyes.gif

thanks Hank...!

It shouldn't be moved from Singapore(country specific) as I'm indeed trying to find out if anyone from the Phils that applies here in Singapore has the same experience as mine.

sorry for my late response. Yes he informed the CO prior to interview and they said it could follow but still it depends on the Country's US Consul. better try to call them first.
