Hello dear fellow applicants/petitioners,

My name is Britt van de Casteele and I'm from the Netherlands in Europe. I've been with my American fiancee for 2 years exactly on this day. :)

Yes, we are a lesbian couple filling for the I-129f fiancee petition. I have some questions concerning the next step in our process...

09/26/2013 - Sent I-129F form

10/05/2013 - They received our application (NOA1?)

10/23/2013 - They changed our alien registration number

(Never got any notification for this but we checked our status here)

11/14/2013 - APPROVED wub.png good.gif on 11/12/2013 got notified today. (NOA2?)

So, so far it has taken 46 days which in my opinion is quite fast! :)

Can anyone tell me what's next. Are they sending the paperwork to me? Since my fiancee has filed for it I believe i'm next.

Do they sent it straight to my embassy? Or does Kristin have to pick it up and sent it? I have a lot of other questions but

I'll ask them when the time is there! :) This forum has been really helpful so far and I enjoyed reading other people's experiences!

We didn't get any help from attorneys or companies we did it our self and we have this forum to thank for a lot of it.

If anyone could be so kind to answer our questions that would be great. We've been researching but nothing has really given

us a satisfying answer. We just want to know what next! :)

Much love,

Kristin & Britt

The next thing to happen is the petition will make its way to the NVC (National Visa Center) so that it can be given a Case # for the Consulate. I would suggest calling DOS (Dept. of State) after about 2 weeks to get your case # @ this number: 1-202-485-7600. When you call you will the benficiary and petitioner information such as name and DOB. If they give you a case # then ask if the petition has left the NVC. After this I would suggest going to the Netherlands Portal. Hope this helps.

Hello Britt,

I am assuming that you are in the Netherlands, you will receive a letter from the Consulate in Amsterdam that they received your case.

Then you will receive Packet number 3 which will explain what you need to do next and what forms to send in and/or bring to the interview, read this information very carefully! After you send back the correct form you will receive Packet number 4 with the interview date, again read this information very carefully!

Find more information here, http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Netherlands&cty=Amsterdam and here, http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=90430

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Congrats! Yes, things have been moving along quickly for people as of late.

Things have changed since that Amsterdam info page here on VJ has been last updated. Since Oct. 7th, all K-1 applicants use the DS-160. It has replaced all the other DS forms. The instructions from your consulate should let you know what it is required. You can check this page under 'Required Documentation' for what will most likely be asked from you > http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html

Also, here is the K-1 flowchart > http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

Hey guys,

We just received a letter from the NVC!!!! :) Our case number is being sent to the Netherlands as we speak! We didn't get notified that they received it just that they sent it.

Do you guys know how long this usually takes? We're super excited. Is there still a big change to get denied?

How are all of you?

I believe NVC will send the petitioner a letter at a later date. At least my fiancé did. Nobody can tell you if you are going to get approve or not other than the CO! If your relationship is genuine then good luck :)

Hope you get approve! Good luck
