How much chat history do people seem to be sending with the I-129F packet? ive seen people post about printing off 800 pages of chat, i don't own any kind of industrial sized printer to handle that many printouts let alone USCIS bothering to read through all of that! ive also heard that it depends where the foreign fiance is from, ive currently filled up 5 pages of facebook chat messages, nothing important as such just general small talk that we started with in the beginning. im now moving onto skype history and as a mac user there is no easy way to copy and paste the entire history into a word file, im going to have to screen grab the majority of it so i could be spending the next couple of weeks just doing that!

can anyone shed some light on this? how much did you send and what do you think the bare minimum would be to send in?

Thanks

You can submit few copies of chat logs and submit other evidences too. Try to Focus on primary evidence.

We did not send chat logs on our I-129F application and did not get RFE. We submitted evidences that we met within 2 yrs such as boarding pass, hotel receipts, ATM, restaurant receipts, passport stamps, receipts for dollar convertion, etc. For our secondary evidences, we submitted pictures, emails, phone logs, package receipts, cards, paypal money transfer receipts, gifts, etc.

Goodluck! ?

Hello! We didn't send any chat logs. We sent airline tickets (international and domestic), 3-4 letters and email exchanges, travel and gift receipts over the years and around 10 photos.

Good luck!

800 pages is bloody ridiculous. The petition requirement is to have met in person. Focus on things that put the two of you in the same country or town. Add about six photos. When you get to the interview in London, they will not look at any Skype, Facebook, gift receipts, or photo albums. They want nothing about relationship.

Email, Skype, Facebook one ~ two pages per month from all three. Just picked what we felt were good conversations to help show a sincere relationship.

Of course flight int and boarding pass with pictures are the best proof of your relationship. But your chat logs/emails shows your still communicating and in a relationship while you are here and she is there.

It wont hurt to send even if its not looked at. We obviously can't be with the love of our life all the time, or we wouldnt be going through the K1 process, so we need to show that we still communicate while apart from each other... my opinion of course

Good luck to ya!

NONE. The I-129F requires proof of having met in person within the past 2 years.... chat logs provide zero proof of this.

For the actual visa application at the embassy... later, you can do a small sampling of chat logs, a couple pages from each month.

I agree with what everyone else is saying. London doesn't want to see tons of chat logs. Send pictures and proof of flights/having met. That's what they really want to see. We sent some pages from Facebook through the part that shows our interactions. But I can't imagine they looked at it or cared since we had photos and lots of flight proof. We had no RFE and no issues with our process with what we sent.

Good luck with your journey!
