My wife and I are doing the petition and according to the website (its being send from Florida) we send the petition to the Phoenix Lockbox address right?

Also is this the fastest way? I hear that sending it to the beneficiary's consulate in their country is faster? Well for Canada anyways...is that true? And if so where do we send that too?

My wife and I are doing the petition and according to the website (its being send from Florida) we send the petition to the Phoenix Lockbox address right?

Here are the instructions for the I-130 "If you are filing a form I-130 and live in Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Northern Mariana Islands, Oklahoma, Oregon, Puerto Rico, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virgin Islands, Washington, Wyoming you mail your application to the

USCIS Phoenix Lockbox

For U.S. Postal Service (USPS) deliveries:

USCIS

ATTN: I-130

PO Box 21700

Phoenix, AZ 85036

For Express mail and courier deliveries:

USCIS

Attn: I-130

1820 E. Skyharbor Circle S

Suite 100

Phoenix, AZ 85034

Also is this the fastest way? I hear that sending it to the beneficiary's consulate in their country is faster? Well for Canada anyways...is that true? And if so where do we send that too?

I'm almost positive that the only way you can send the petition to the Consulate is if you are doing Direct Consular Filing (DCF) which can only be done if the USC spouse is living in Canada in your case. Just got this off the USCIS website:

Although immigrant petitions are filed with USCIS, In some cases, an I-130 petition may be filed for an immediate relative (spouse, child, or parent of a U.S. citizen) with a U.S. embassy or consulate abroad. Situations where this may be applicable include:

  • If the U.S. citizen has been authorized to be continuously residing within the jurisdiction of the consular office for at least the previous 6 months
  • Members of the military
  • Emergency situations
  • Situations involving the health or safety of the petitioner
  • When in the national interests of the United States

Hope this helps both of you. Good luck on your journey.
