Interview and my wife with me

My wife wants to join me the day I get my interview ... Is this a good idea? USA embassy will let her do it ?

Well , I think your wife SHOULD be present at the day of the interview! It sort of proofs that your marriage is a bonafide one, why else would she travel all the way to Morocco if it wasn't? !

Some consulates don't mind. In some, like Casablanca it would probably be a very big plus if she did join.

I went when my husband had his interview but they will not let her in they made me wait outside but when u have ur interview make sure u tell them that she is outside good luck Inchallla

I went with my hubby as well, they let me into the embassy after everyone was inside for about an hour until then I had a coffee down the street then walked back to the embassy and sat patiently in a small waiting area. I could see when my husband was called up for the interview but could not hear anything. I was not allowed in the general waiting room. They did ask him when and how often I had visited and they asked him, "when did she arrive this time?" So they knew I was in the country before he told them. I suppose her presence can only help. I stayed in Morocco for a month and a month or so after I left they finally finished with AP and approved the visa.

Wonder if they knew because you had come into the embassy already, or if they actually do have time to keep track of that stuff.

They keep track and know because they can just type the person's name and passport number in their government system to see if one is doing any traveling or not.

Everyone is monitored when you enter and exit the country.

yea the officer was really nice to him and said that she was happy we were together And yes his interview was short and he did get approved

She can travel to be in Morocco with you but she will probably have to wait outside. The Casablanca consulate almost never lets the US citizen spouse inside. I would make the decision based on the relationship - does she want to visit again, would you like her moral support of going to the consulate together and waiting in line together - and not based on whether it will impact the immigration outcome.

I was here with my husband for his interview the other week. I waited at a coffee house close by. When he finally got to mention that I was there and showed them my passport, they asked him to bring me in and interviewed me as well. He said he saw the pink ticket in his passport when they called him up, so we think he was already approved but interviewing me sealed the deal so-to-speak. We made my travels plans before the interview was assigned. It just so happened to be the 2nd day after my arrival. If finances and work permit, I think it is a good thing.

Casablanca does not allow the petitioner to attend the interview. But you can let them know she is there with you by bringing her passport to the interview along with her boarding passes.
