Hi Vj family,

We inadvertently missed to certify our photocopies in our DS 260...

We later on realized after the shipment.

Will this cause any problem?

We appreciate all comments.

The photocopies do not need to be certified they are just copies of the original documents you will have sent at the same time, you did send the originals too didn't you ?

Thank you for your reply, "fcat".

We sent original copies of mybirth certificate and police certificate from The Philippines.

The rest are photocopies, but we forgot to certify them .

Here's what you have to send:

Original or certified copy of:

Marriage Certificate

Birth Certificate

Divorce Certificate (if applicable)

Police certificate

You also need to send Photocopies (not certified) of each of the above.

Yes, we sent original AND photocopies of:

Birth Certificate

Marriage Certificate

Police Certificate (Philippines)

Police Certificate (Thailand is scanned copy)

Annulment Decree (photocopy)

Do you think those will suffice?

NVC Received 11/7/2013

Case Complete at NVC 03/14/2014

Expedite granted at NVC level 03/18/2014

Left NVC for Embassy 03/20/2014

Received by Embassy 03/24/2014

Received Interview date for 05/04/2014 :)

Visa granted 05/04/2014 :dancing:

Many embassies do not require translated documents if they're in the native language of the country of interview. This, of course, varies by embassy.
