Comments : It took us almost 7 weeks to wait for the visa being issued due to this dreadful result of my chest x-ray which turns out abnormal. I underwent the exhausting sputum/culture test and martoux test which eventually came out all negative. After 13 mos. with the process. God gave us his approval! Kudos to our VJ family who made a great help and assistance along this journey. We love you and wishing all members to get the same fate as we do.

Consulate Review: Bangkok, Thailand
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 26, 2014
Embassy Review :
My interview was last 9 January 2014 with Bangkok Consulate. It went well and smooth, worth to mention how nice the lady CO was. She hadn't even asked my husband's name. It was done approximate within 3 mins.
Here comes my 221g.....
Prior to my interview, is the fact that there's an issue about my medical result. My left upper lung has a scar. I dont have history of TB before, no intermittent cough, my weight is the same and no fever. I never smoke as I keep a half-vegan diet. Obviously, I need to undergo Consulate's procedure in cases having such abnormalities. The collection of sample for sputum test was, by far, the most horrifying experience i'd ever had. Attempt to cough out sample has been unsuccessful for few times. I was induced through a nebulizer twice. I was even referred to a Pulmunologist for martoux test, which came out negative. My husband and I were almost about to give up, until a sweet-spirited nurse came to us and prescribed this powder form decongestant for me to take so I can release sample. We rushed to buy the medicine and Good Heavens! I was able to collect 3 samples in 3 days, the last one was on the day of my interview (January 9,2014).Sputum result can be known an hour after collection. My 3 samples are all negative and on the 6th week, I phoned my attending physician for my culture test. Trembling and shaking I asked how are my culture test went, and she said, all negative. You're clear now!! You can come today and pick up your results! Yaii! That was the most pleasing news I'd ever heard. It was quite a relief. I phoned my husband right away and we thanked Jesus for this. The next day I had my shots and after I was handed the sealed envelope I rushed to the nearest post office and posted my medical result and my passport. Bangkok Consulate received my parcel February 20th and the CEAC status showed AP until the 24th. It was around 4.40pm the same day of 24th when status changed into "Ready". On the 25th status changed from Ready to AP and later at 2.30pm, it showed " ISSUED" Your visa has been printed................................THANK YOU, LORD GOD!!! You'd been sooo good!

Finally,we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you, our VJ Family, for the utmost support and camaraderie along this tasking journey. You made a difference in our life. We'll never forget you! We LOVE you all!
God bless!!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
