Greetings,

I just received a letter from USCIS saying that “This is to advise you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to cancel the previously scheduled interview on Tuesday, March 11 2014 at 12pm. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. We will advise you of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under separate notice!!!

I believe this is another trial/test from Almighty God; apart from that I just wanted to share to see if you are familiar with such a weird situation? Please don’t ignore to drop your lines based upon your experience/knowledge.

That's a major drag and I'm a sorry to hear that. I've read about this happening before, and it is typically because of an over-scheduling issue at the local office. I think it is likely you will be scheduled for a time within a month of the original time. Hang in there. I know it sucks - but hang in there. What else can we do, eh?

Thanks much for utilizing your precious time on postings after the “black whole” processing people barely appear here . . . they get vanished like they were never member of this forum J Since noon I've been reading blogs on “interview cancellation” different people have different thoughts of school such as causes are captured below:

Ø Due to FBI_FP

Ø Due to savior weather condition

Ø When IO is not mentally and physically present to conduct your interview J

Bunch of fox has emphasized for “walks in” on en scheduled date than being absent and pretend that you never received such notice! How could someone mock this up thou?

I ought to fly overseas to visit my immediate family abruptly. Can’t afford to waste my whole life after this NEP=Never Ending Process therefore I’m determined to take a slim chance to appear on previously given date (I work nearby their office) unless I get another notice revealing future date! I need to know how many of you support this aggressive step.

The only time I read about someone showing up anyway they were told it was canceled (postponed). IMO, it can't hurt to show up anyway, since you are so close - worst that could happen is they tell you that....

Well said, I guess I'm gona end up like an un-invited guest on my original scheduled date!!! Verily, I don't know how they will be convinced by my walk in, more likely they won't oblige it.

Interview letter received today and it will be 1st April by 1230pm.

That news is really sucky Baba Jani. I've also heard that sometimes it happens when they don't have the physical file at their location yet. But, if you live close by the office, why not show up next Tuesday and then pretend to be surprised about the news. You never know!!! Maybe they by then have received your file or whatever might be going on, and you get your interview anyway. I don't think there's anything to lose if you have the time to make it to the office.

Is Portland Oregon the slowest field office in the nation?

I have been placed in line for scheduling since December 2d 2013. Received yellow letter in the mail on January 8th 2013 with instructions on what to bring at interview. Since then I haven't heard back from them. Called the USCIS office . They told me that My field office is currently processing the July 2013 files. This is very frustrating.

any advice? Anybody in similar boat? will infos pass appointment make any difference?

Hi, I am in the same boat as you are....In line since Dec 27th. My field office is Atlanta. They told me the same thing that they are processing July filers. This is so slow because so many people are already done in less than 4 months while I dont even have a status change after 27th.

You can filter by field office and it shows current times for your office. At least Portland does same day oaths, so once you finally get your interview date, it will also be your Oath date!!!

Well that was fast!! I got my Oath Ceremony letter today to tell me that my ceremony is this Friday!!

Same Louisville office. Received yellow letter january 10th 2013 nothing since then,even online status is not changed since biometrics november 20th...

You could call and ask to speak with a Second Tier officer. I did that back in January when I had no change in status online after Biometrics at all. Looks like you should be coming up on getting at least the interview date if you look on this handy little tool and filter to Louisville office.

I don't know what the problem is with Pittsburgh.

Still nothing from them since after my interview on Feb 13th

And this is an office that has same day oath. It's real BS.

After almost a month after my interview still not even scheduled for oath.

Am sorry but I just can't understand. I know some people are waiting forever.

But this is an office that conducts same day oath.

And this local office is not busy at all..

It will just break my heart if they don't put me on that ceremony like comeon already.

I have an emergency trip in April. How can such a happy ending be so dreadful?????
