Hello Heng Heng

Happy for you.

Hare is the answer I found from Our portal written by X2BW (Nob Jet).

Nob Jet just got K1 visa on 10-24-13. Congrat.

Here it is:

What you need to do now while you wait for the embassy to recieve your case:

Fill out I134 and gather all the document that support that form: employment letter, bank account verification, life insurance if you have it, copy of W2, copies of pay stub for at least 6 months if you have it.

Fill out the other form for your fiancee and make a note on where she needs to sign and date.

Once of have all of the above mail it to her. If she recieves the document prior to you hearing from the embassy then it is OK. Tell her to wait and hold on to it. Then as soon as you find out that the embassy received your case and ready for Packet 3 you can tell your fiancee to sign and date and mail it to the embassy on the same day. No time is wasted.

After the embassy process packet 3 they will issue you your interview date and once you get the interview date is when you go out and do your medical and gather all other documents that is required at the time of interview.

So it's not the 1-864 form but the 1-134 that my fiancé fills out for me?

Thanks

Yes. I-134 is for the K-1 visa and the I-864 is used later when you adjust status after you are married.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

you can fill out the following forms online: ds230, ds-156, ds-156k signed, dated. your fiance can take care of I-134.

DS-156k has 3 pages i believe, DS-156, 1 Page, DS-230 has 2 parts, Part 1 and part 2 = 4 pages. Get evidence ready, pictures hotel receipts etc just to name a few

To LoveHerForever

Those forms you described above are no longer needed.

You only fill out DS-160 online and print the receipt to mail back to the embassy to get the appointment for interview.

Please read the link above carefully. That is instruction from Phnom Penh embassy. It tells you exactly what you need to do.

It gives you the link to fill out your form DS-160 online. By the way, DS-260 is for Married couple. You are K1 and you need DS-160 as instructed by the embassy.

For convenience, here is the link again.

To savath,

Thank you so much. Now Its clear to me about it. I will keep posting and sharing the progress. thanks again for wishing me. I hope everything goes smoothly. Wish you guys all the best. by the ways, Do you know how long will the embassy receive the case???

It is take about a week or 2 before embassy receive your case. NVC send my case to embassy in phnom Penh on Sep 25, 2013 and they received on Oct 2, 2013. IF you have case number from NVC you should email to embassy in Phnom Penh (IVPhnomPenh@state.gov) ask them do they receive your case yet. Dont wait for letter from embassy it will take whole month before your fiance(e) receive letter in USA.
