Hello all (:

So right now my fiance and I have been sent the letter from the U.S. Embassy with a checklist that he needs to complete before his interview.

Everything seems doable, except we are concerned on how to get a police certificate from the UK where he lived for over a year.

Has anyone done this before and could advise us on how to obtain that. Thank you so much!

HI!

Did you check the site of the UK Police Department? When I needed my certificate from the Italian police I got it online through their site.

I obtained my UK Police Certificate a few weeks back.

Just follow (precisely) the instruction on the form, send everything they ask you to, and after a few weeks, you will have your certificate delivered at your doorstep.

Very straightforward, but also sort of expensive!

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.
