Ok, so Luis and I are saving money as we still need a new sofa and a washing machine for our apartment. So we agreed that this year we won't get expensive gifts for each other on Christmas but just get inexpensive stuff to fill our Christmas socks. I already bought some chocolate 'cus absolutely loves chocolate but I wanted some ideas of cheap, non-food goodies for his sock.

"Love" coupons - exchange one for a massage, a footrub, things like that. You can make your own or you can often buy a coupon book at book stores. Humorous books of cartoons or jokes. Movie gift certificates. Vitamins. Hand lotions. Hand-held massage rollers. Coffee mug with his name on it. A "Santa Claus" hat.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Head to the nearest 99 cent or dollar store, they have loads of cool stuff you could use for stocking stuffers! Not too mention plenty of art supplies to create

Thanks for the great (or not :P) ideas!

I'll definitly check out the dollar store and even though he's got an ipod I ended up remembering he's been dying to play The Godfather for PS2 so I'll try getting that. The love card idea is great but we've already used it.

Laura,

I think he may like stuff that smells good, like for the shower or shaving or also a gift card. Have you been @ the Barceloneta Outlets yet?

Check out Barnes&Noble, they have a ton of small, fun things. I bought Joe a little joystick keychain thing that plugs into the TV and has some Atari games on it. They also have lots of games, calendars, books, kits, etc.

Have some return address mailing labels, or a pre-inked stamp, made with his name and new address on it...

I have no idea what to get my hubby for Christmas....

he wants one of those massage things.. it is a pad that you can put on a chair... We did buy a $15 one last week but he didn't like it... the vibrations made him kind of seasick... so we returned it.. :P

I don't know if buying a more expensive one will make a difference if it still uses the vibration method...

I need gift ideas that are under $50....

ok it's done.. I got him a PC Game controller and Pop up Egypt calendar..... it says they will get here before the 23rd... here's hoping.... and it won't cost me anything because of the 30 dollar credit from my brand spanking new Chase/Amazon credit card :D and I chose the Free super saver shipping  makes up for the money it cost to ship my family their Christmas package

I ordered something from Amazon at the end of November.... they shipped it out on a Tuesday or Wednesday and it was here by Friday but I am sure with the Holiday mail right now it might take a bit longer

I'm getting the Godfather for PS2, more candy (he's got a sugar tooth), a new keychain for his car keys and maybe an aftershave.

Next year hopefully I'll be working so I can get him gifts not just made for the stocking.

For the guys here, are those eletric razors worth it?

This has nothing to do with a stocking stuffer - I just wanted to complain!!

I finally decided on a gift for my guy - I found an electronic doodad he was looking at on Best Buy. I tried to purchase it, but they won't accept a Canadian billing address. When i called customer service, they said "buy it a best buy canada" Well, the gift recipient lives in the USA - how does that help me any? Not to mention it isn't even available there.

I'm so irritated! I've never encountered this problem orderingonline from US based places before. People love to take my money.

I guess I can try circuit City... maybe they will have it too - though I doubt it will be on sale.
