w00t w00t.

Now then, for more fun and dancing...

Call the ustraveldocs USA Number during the day, USA time, same punching patterns, ask the same question 'Where is the passport/visa packet'?

and

for now - get some sleep, la. wink.png

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Congrats to you and your wife on having your visa in hand! Hopefully your point of entry goes smooth.

Not to sidetrack the thread, but have you bought a ticket / chosen a point of entry yet?

Nope - I am in the throes of migrating from Dallas area to Houston and as soon as I've unloaded into the house (and cleaned it again) I'm jumping on a plane for a month's vacation, then we're coming back. Gotta finish with the houses before I even think about a ticket.

How long did it take you to receive an email from the embassy stating "it's approved, schedule a pickup location if you havent already, etc, etc," email?

We just finally received that email at 10:08 AM china time.... another update on CEAC, no updates anywhere else.....

Chris, it looks like you're on a similar track as we are. The wife had her interview on the 8th. We were updated yesterday to "Your visa has been printed." So I'm pretty sure ours hasn't been mailed yet.

A QQ friend had her interview on 10/7 and got the packet/visa yesterday. The process remains consistently inconsistent until the bitter end.

I got a strange email from someone at USTRAVELDOCS last night. Saying Zhejiang New town Citic Bank was under renovation and passports would be sent to Citic Plaza Headquarters on north Tianhe Road. I called in to the Guangzhou help desk and the guy told me the passport was with the courier and I should expect an email for pickup soon. I'm thinking monday.....

Did you get the same email yet PhillyJon?

I don't know if she got any email about 'come to pick up, it's here'. I didn't ask.

My wife went in person to the bank on Saturday and they said it wasnt in their system but it could have arrived that day since they dont process them on the weekend. She was already in the area doing her last immunization so she wanted to stop in. She called last night (monday during the day GZ time) and they said it was ready for pickup. Not sure if she bailed on work and went to pick it up yet or not. Her email was a little vague.

Congrats Chanhungli! Deer Park? You're just around the corner from us! I split my time between Anahuac and San Leon.....
