Can I include my fiance for a joint bank account even if he does not have a SS number yet? They are requiring proof of address for my fiance for our ceremony.

I think the SSN is required by the bank, quick call to your bank would be the easy answer.

Does New Jersey require a person to be a resident to get married there?

I have a bank account here in USA since February this year. I got an SSN in September... They just made one up for me in the bank...

May 2010 my first visit in USA                                                                            Sept 23, 2013 recieved SSN

June 2010 I spent 3 months in USA                                                                   Sept 26, 2013 Tdap, MMR vaccines

Depends on the bank. They may add your fiance to your account if you've been with the same bank for some time. Best to call/stop by and ask.

is there any particular reason you are NOT chasing a SSN for your recently-immigrated K-1 visa holder?

Yes we are waiting for the 2 weeks plus I would need to change my SS also to my married name so we figured will do it after we get married so I can have my name updated as well.

1. Sure, but why? Suggest you get a joint account after marriage, when you have the marriage certificate in hand.
