received email/txt notification that in Jan 6, I was schedule for interview.. How long will It take to get the letter for my interview after they sent me email!? Tnx..

ROC journey

09-03-2012 Filed ROC

09-07-2012 Received NOA1 stating they received my ROC pocket

11-13-12 Received mail for biometrics schedule ( good thing I called n follow up, coz I didnt received the first bio sched they sent me)

11-27-2013: Biometrics schedule

04-19-2013: received mail stating they approved my ROC ( 4-16-2013) no interview)

6/7/13 received txt/email updated case status & order card

6/13/2013: Received 10 yr GC

10/21/13 - send pocket to uscis ( Phoenix, Az lockbox)

10/23/13 - pocket received by uscis

10/25/13 - received acceptance letter

11/02/13 - received biometrics letter scheduled on 11/13/13

11/15/13 - received text/email " in line for interview "

01/06/14 - received txt/email scheduled for interview

01/13/14 - received interview letter set on Feb. 10.

02-10-14 - Interview ( San Fernando Valley Field Office, Chartsworth Ca.)

02-10-14 - interview Day.. Approved...

02-14-14 - received updates case scheduled for oath taking ??

03-14-14 - OATH TAKING @ Montebello, Ca.

I passed my interview today!

Now I just have to wait for the oath schedule.

And I have to figure out how and when to go about getting passports for me and my daughter (she is 7 and currenty has a green card)

10/03/13: N400 Sent to Dallas Service Center
10/11/13: Received
10/16/13: NOA
11/06/13: Biometrics
01/13/14: Passed Interview!
05/16/14: Oath Ceremony. Finally Finished!

Do you remember your interview questions? We're there any other questions about your application that you can share?

For me they just go through the n400 paperwork I sent before and double check what is there. Nothing crazy or weird questions. The officer who did the interview was very nice and friendly. She really just confirmed everything on there.

For interview questions, the only ones for sure I remember are who is my governor, and who is the father of our country, and name 2 national holidays? She asked me I think 3 more questions word for word out of the Quick Civic Lessons book.

If you know the answers to those questions you will be fine. I studied from here: http://amaruk.atspace.com/tests/NewCivicsTest.html on my tablet and from the book I got at the biometrics office. Both of those are perfect for practice.

The reading and writing part are also exact from the English Test portion of the study book. (page 28 and 29)

I had to read outloud 'Who lives in the White House?'

I had to answer 'The President lives in the White House.'

You will be random and different, but if you know those words on the reading and writing pages and those 100 questions, you shouldnt have any problems.

I passed my interview today!

Now I just have to wait for the oath schedule.

And I have to figure out how and when to go about getting passports for me and my daughter (she is 7 and currenty has a green card)

Cleared interview yesterday with flying colors...
It was quick interview...
Reached at 2:00PM, finger print, picture taken, move to a different customer area. She was called at 2:30PM, and came back in 20 mins with a big smile.
Writing - Lincoln was president of United States
Reading - Abraham Lincoln was 3rd president of United States.
Civic Questions -
1. What is first 10 amendments called.
2. When was the declaration of independence adopted.
3. What Abraham Lincoln famous for
4. Name one Longest river of US
5. Name the speaker of the house
6. What does the constitution do

Oath scheduled next week 1/22/14.

Congratulations! But the reading part of the test is odd... Lincoln was the 16th president... Thomas Jefferson was the 3rd...
