So we recieved a letter today asking us (me, US Petitoner) to submit the I-864 with our Adjustment of Status Application. Of course I already submitted it with the original application but now it seems USCIS doesn't have it??I have no problem sending them another one but how can I politely let them know that it was already included in the original package? Should I just say nothing and send them another one? Has this happened to anyone else? It's kind of frustrating when you KNOW that it's been sent already yet they tell you that they don't have it......

I received a similar letter because the I-864 I submitted was expired. Do you have your copy of the I-864? Look in the top right corner. It should say that it expires on 3/31/2015. If it's any earlier, you used the wrong form. I think they must have had the wrong form posted somewhere, because there seem to be a lot of us with this problem.

Resubmitted and received by USCIS: 8/26/2013

RFE for expired I-865 received by USCIS: 9/5/2013

EAD and AP approved: 9/19/2013

EAD/AP card received: 9/27/2013

Status changed to "Testing and Interview": 10/2/2013

Appointment notice mailed: 10/10/2013

Interview appointment: 11/12/2013 *Approved!*

Yep, you're right! Mine came straight off their own website so one wonders.....No sense in trying to point that out though, sending a new one today!

Btw, did you just send in the updated form or did you include copies of your tax returns as well?

The letter I got said "Also provide copies of the petitioner/sponsor's most recent Federal Income tax returns." I sent in the 2012 tax return again. Now that I'm reading it again, maybe I should have sent 2011 and 2010 also!

how many days did it take for u to receive your RFE ?

im on day 11 and still recieved nothing in the mail.

I called them and said call back on day 15 !!

2013-08-20 (DAY 8) Noa1 received via Text around 11pm, next day was email. Received my case numbers

2013-08-23 (Day 11)- received hard copy in mail for Noa1 gc , Work permit

2013-08-30 (Day 18) Received Biometrics appointment letter in the mail.

2013-09-17 (Day 25) biometrics appointment day @2pm Detriot

2013-09-25 (Day 33) received text and email , I485 changed to testing and interview

2013-10-02 (Day 40) received text message and email @7am about my interview date

2013-10-04 (Day 42) Received hard copy interview letter in the mail

2013-10-10 (Day 48) Work permit Card in production

2013-10-16 (Day 54) 2nd Text and email @830am Work permit in Production

2013-10-21 (Day 59) text/email notice 10am . Work Permit sent

2013-10-21(Day 59)Text/ email @9pm received text with tracking number -2 day delievery

2013-10-24(Day 62) received my work permit in the mail.

2013-10-25 Filled for my Social Security number today

It makes no difference if it was originally included. they do not have it. Send another. Politely letting them n=know anything serves no purpose. Send it with the return document included.

If ANYTHING goes wrong in ANY part of this process, your fault, their fault, anyone's fault...it is YOUR problem. Fix it.

USCIS, at the demand of people wanting faster service, has expanded the number of people handling all phases of this process. They have even now started including local offices on petition processing. More people equals more mistakes.

Send your response. Editorial comment is not necessary and not productive.
