We really should all get together and work on a sticky detailing what we know about the NPIW process..

We should but what do we really know, nothing is transparent right now. I just saw this link and hypnos reckons that cases only go to field offices if you get an interview and I am becoming more and more confused with each passing day. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/538059-renew-ead-or-hope-my-green-card-comes/

We have enough cumulative info from Tier 2 info and thread posts to refute this information. Adjudication occurs at local field offices whether interviewed or not. NPIW cases may be special becasue they can make us rot, but I can tell you this we are not special enough that they will treat us differently from everyone else. It has been written that MSC does NOT adjudicate I-485's and they do not even post family based I-485's in their processing times or statistics...We've all seen that and I commented on that recently; hypnos is wrong...

money scoop? What question do we need to ask if we are allowed? I don't know what to ask as there are that many! Any ideas from fellow vjers would be helpful too!

How much he'll charge you to file in Federal court? If we were to all get him to file for us, he'd definately have enough money to send his kids to college. (I'm not fond of lawyers). With the backlog in the federal courts, your odds are better getting USCIS to move first...though I may be wrong...you can always call and ask...

I am a baby in this process, so I won't be going there just yet, but if I was waiting 3 years then I most certainly would be looking into it!

I am guessing that might have been the case a couple of years ago but since everything changed then the whole AOS process seemingly changed too.

I've often wondered if I could get expedited EAD since my US citizen spouse does not work, I'm the only one that works so if my EAD renewal took too long we'd be more than screwed

That would be severe financial loss so I'd say yes. Getting a Tier 1 to agree with you and raise the request is another matter altogether.

Our medical expires in April (filed for AOS in October), and as we only just got the notice of potential waiver, we are expecting the medical to expire before our case is completed. Do we wait until we get an RFE telling us to update our medical, or do we have to take care of that regardless? I'm assuming we would have gotten an RFE by now if it was going to be an issue but I also don't want to have our case denied because we didn't go and get a new medical.

There was discussion of this subject a long time ago in another galaxy on this thread talking about this very subject (before page 34) and on other threads. If I remember correctly, they were unsuccessful. It is very narrow in its qualifications...

Ooooh ok, I have heard of family co-sponsors before. Yup, that savings can go pretty fast with all the fees and only one person working at a time.

Got the interview waiver also yesterday. Seems like another set of waiting. Only now im wishing I had gotten an interview letter instead.
