Reality check, please:

Is there ANYONE left on the September 2013 thread that has NOT yet received their NOA2? Have those people received any communication as to whether there is an actual problem with their petition or if it's just a matter of their petition making it to the top of a seemly compleeeeeetely random pile?

I know a lot of people just consult these threads without posting, but if you are in the same boat, I would be incredibly grateful to 1) know that there are others in the same situation 2) hear more about what you've been told vis-a-vis the delay. Please speak up!

Thanks!

I don't know that there's anyone left from this thread who hasn't got NOA2. Keep calling a Tier 2 and contact your local congress person.

Very upsetting to see so many people, get approved so fast, an I filed December 17th, an still hasn't moved from initial review. Guess I will one of those that takes 8 months to one year.

I definitely wouldn't assume 8mo to a year at this point! You filed in mid-December...you're 3 months into the 5mo estimated processing time. I know it's frustrating to see people flying through the process (BELIEVE me, I get it. We filed in September and we're still on initial review as well), but you're still perfectly on track, I'd say...

Hang in there, and fingers crossed for you!

Call and have them file a service request. It's been over five months.

Thanks so much for the suggestion!

Unfortunately, I've filed a service request, spoke to a Tier 2 representative a week, filed an inquiry with the Ombudsman's Office, and am in the process of engaging my Congressional rep...

I can only hold out hope that the latter might yield some speedy results, as all the others have told me the "our file looks like it's on track (no RFE or anything) and I should keep waiting, should be soon", "wait 30 days for outcome of service request", or 45 in the case of the Ombudsman.

You can probably imagine I'm at my wit's end here. Creative suggestions welcome!!

I'm not sure if it would work or how much help it could be, but maybe an Infopass appointment?

Now that so many Sep filers are finally through the visa approval process, I am wondering if we should keep updating this thread as we move to the AOS and green card process or move to a different thread.

Any thoughts?
