Hello All,

My Fiance and I also filed in September and are now playing the waiting game!

I am wondering, after the i-129f is approved, what is next? is there a whole new process for the k1 Visa, or is that it?

09/10/2013 - sent in i-129f

09/19/2013 - email notification of USCIS acceptance & rerouted to CSC

09/25/2013 - received official receipt notice via mail

10/02/2013 - received a RFE

10/16/2013 - sent in RFE

10/18/2013 - checked USCIS site & RFE has been received

10/29/2013 - Alien Registration Number changed

10/30/2013 - NOA2 i-129f APPROVED!

12/06/2013 - received Packet 3 in mail

12/08/2013 - completed DS-160 & sent in checklist

12/??/2013 - called DOS and got my MTL Case # (can't remember what day in Dec)

01/09/2014 - consulate asked me to complete a new DS-160

01/29/2014 - received Packet 4 via email

01/29/2014 - medical appointment complete

02/26/2014 - Visa Appointment in MTL - requested additional documents

03/03/2014 - Mailed in documents via Loomis

03/04/2014 - Documents arrived at US consulate in MTL

03/06/2014 - CEAC updated to AP

03/06/2014-03/17/2014- CEAC status updates daily, but still remains on AP

03/18/2014- CEAC status READY (to schedule an interview)

03/19/2014- CEAC status READY (case is open) Case creation date changed to 03/19/2014 and switched to Non-Immigrant Visa

03/24/2014- CEAC status updated but still says READY (case is open)

04/01/2014- CEAC status updated but still says READY (case is open)

04/02/2014- CEAC status back to ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING

04/03/2014- CEAC status ISSUED

04/03/2014- Email from Loomis that passport has been shipped

04/04/2014- Picked up Passport

After the I-129f is approved, it'll go to NVC and then to the Embassy where the beneficiary starts their part. The visa portion is separate, but together.

Look here at this flow chart. It gives you each step in detail and also gives you a rough time frame as well.

Keep us posted as to when yours arrives at NVC. I see CSC has an enormous delay in sending the files to NVC and I'm curious what TSC's time looks like. I noticed those who have posted Alien Registration Number updates were at about 18 days after NOA1 with NOA2 following approximately 14 days after. Tessyht was approved in I think 31 days, so this seems to hold true. We shall see. Fingers crossed that's the case for us and we get approval in the next couple of weeks.

My Alien Registration number was updated on September 9th. NOA 2 was October 16th. 35 days from Alien Registration number till NOA 2. Total time was 41 days NOA 1 to NOA 2.

Filled AOS/AP/EAD: 2014-04-09

Biometrics: 2014-05-08

AOS approved for interview: 2014-06-24

AOS Interview: 2014-07-30, Approved.

GC received: 2014-08-11
ROC Sent: 2016-04-29

It looks like CSC updates Alien Registration Numbers straight away. TSC looks to do it about halfway through. I'm not sure if my thought holds a drop of water...

I checked the uscis online status just now and got very excited to see the case had been touched again (a month from the last touch). It was to update my alien registration number but they already did that last month? A bit confused but mainly irritated that it wasn't NOA2. I got so excited at first lol. So the wait continues...

hmm, I wonder what would be the reason to change your registration number twice.? I filed on Sept7th and I haven't even gotten my first notice of registration number change and you've had two. Weird. Maybe it's a good sign for you. Might be any minute now until your NOA2

Sept 18th, 2013 = NOA 1 via e-mail - Case Accepted and Routed to Texas Service Center

Sept 27th 2013= Received NOA1 hard copy

Oct 5th-12th 2013 = Had an AMAZING week together and now back to waiting...ClockWatch2.gif

February 12th 2014 = Five month mark passed. Service request ordered. They said in 27days we should have an answer.

March 15th 2014 = ALIEN REGISTRATION NUMBER CHANGED! FINALLY! dancin5hr.gif

May 31st-June 11th 2014 -Spent a Beautiful week and a half together and got a huge surprise on the day before she left. :D

June 10th 2014 = PETITION APPROVED!!! Hallelujah! :dance:

August 8th 2014 = Medical. Results: Passed

September 23rd 2014= INTERVIEW: APPROVED! so happy!!!!!!!

September 25-28th 2014 = System Error prevents VISA from being issued. :cry:

September 29th 2014= VISA in hand :dancing:

September30th 2014= Entered the USA :thumbs:
December 22nd 2014=MARRIED :)

March 18th 2015 = Filed AOS

April 3rd 2015 = Received NOA1 hard copies

June 20th 2015 = Received EAD/AP card in mail :)

July 28th 2015 = Received Notice of Potential Interview waiver :mellow:

Feb 29th 2016= FINALLY! RECEIVED MY GREENCARD! :dancing:

my I-129f was received on sept. 16th. my noa2 was approved on sept. 30th. been waiting for nvc ever since. i thought i was on the fast track at first. but now worry, as i need her to have interveiw by jan 20thno0pb.gif .any body have long waiting to hear from nvc?

you are on the same boat with me. i got approved on sept 30 too. until now still no news. i call DOS and they said have no case number for me. so keep waiting.
