Calling USCIS is really not worth a lot. They don't have information and don't know what they are talking about. Have you try to make an infopass? have you tried calling your congressman? or senator?

Also, are you really filing a K-3 as it says in your timeline?

Good luck in your visa journey!

No.

I"m surprised you didn't know about the local office transfers, you joined VJ right as it was happening last year. Newark is a slow local office. But it's very likely that is where your file is.

here is the USCIS alert about the local office transfers:

well we called alot of times Tier2 and they always confirmed that our file has never left NBC exept of yesterday when we called Tier2 said our file just got transfer to my local field office.

i applied at the chicago lockbox in jan 14

my questions is will my wait time of 8 months already have to add up with the new wait time on my field office !?

Most people just consider the whole thing the "wait time" and don't break it up into bits. Right now people have been told that the I-130s are taking a year. :( If you've been waiting for over 6 months you can try to put in a service request, you can contact the Ombudsman, and you can also try to contact your senator or congressman to find out what is going on and why it's taking so long.

Call two/three times and most likely you will get a different Tier 2 and compare the answers.

I was told my file was sent to local office, made an infopass and it wasn't there so Tier 2 is nothing but a waste of tax payer's money...don't get me wrong some are very helpful.

I was told during my infopass appointment that any petition that are past the deadlines are sent to local office, i am not sure if this is entirely true since there is no pattern on how USCIS works.

So, if possible, please call and determine yourself if the file is at local office or not or maybe make infopass appointment?

pointed questions for a Tier 2 Human:

1. what date was my casefile transferred to a local office?

2. which local office was it transferred to ?

----

Do the questions in that exact order.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
