Hello all,

My husband has been here for over a year on his K-1 Visa. We were wondering if it is at all an option to consider moving to the UK.

He would immediately be able to get his old job back at 10k pounds a year. We would be able to live at his parents until we got grounded / I found a job.

Is this possible?

It's my understanding that for a spousal residence permit in the UK, the minimum amount needed by the UK Citizen has been RAISED to a significant amount, way over 10K UK Pounds. Please take a look at that, nowish.

This would be an unwise move if you plan on living again in the US anytime soon. Ideally you would file for removal of conditions, then citizenship and then you can leave. Otherwise you will need to apply for a spousal visa and pay everything to come back over should you let your greencard go with non residency.

Actually as of yesterday all petitions which do not meet the financial requirements but meet all other requirements are being put on hold. You will need at least 18,000 pounds in UK income.
