Hi guys,

I am new to this whole thing so please bear with me.

Quick background on everything- I met my fiance 3 years ago, she is from Argentina and this year we filed the I-129f form. The NOA1 was sent on the 19th of June, 2013. On the 12th of July I checked our case on the USCIS site and was informed that we had moved from initial review to post decision activity. I was quite shocked and pretty excited, but it seemed to good to be true. I called the USCIS number and spoke with them, they confirmed that it looked like the real deal and I should be recieving the NOA2 in the mail.

We had a problem with the mail being sent to the street address rather than the mailing address, so I called and confirmed the mailing address. After 30 days had passed I called to request a new reciept be sent- I recieved an NOA1 in the mail so I checked the case status again and it had moved back to initial review. Obviously I called the USCIS again. I had to speak with a tier 2 to get the information. I was told that it was a computer glitch that had produced that. I had been told by 3 others that this was the real deal and all of a sudden, it was a computer glitch. The woman I spoke with informed me that it was a system wide deal and happened to a bunch of people.

I am just wondering if anyone else out there had this happen?

Thanks!

Hi Alex!

I may or may not be in the same boat. I received my NOA1 on July 11 and got a notice that it was approved on August 13th. I didn't really believe it at the time and called to check if it was the real deal and tier 2 confirmed it. I DID get my NOA2 in the mail on Aug 16th. But I haven't received a case number from NVC yet. I suppose I'll be calling NVC every day to see if they have received it or not.

Wishing us both luck on our journeys!

-Ryan
