Hello,

My interview has been scheduled for September 19. I live in Kansas with my wife. I start an internship in Florida September 4th I haven't received my appointment letter with all the interview details it should be here Monday. I need to figure my plans and where my interview is so I can fly back in good time. How can I find out where my interview is? Would it be in Kansas City? Is there an indication somewhere, or should I just call.

Also, my interview has been scheduled, my EAD is in it's way to me. I'm waiting for AP, I wanted to squeeze in a trip home before September 4th roles around. Any idea or experience why there is little progress compared to i485 and EAD?

Thank you

Kansas City is where I went for biometrics FYI

The letter will tell you where it is, I had to reschedule mine as I was working in angola on the first date. Mine have both been at the same office as the bio-metric appointment.

Thanks, so you think it might be in Kansas City. I would like to know so I can schedule it with my internship so they can plan for me not being there for a few days.

Office locator toward the bottom of this page. enter zip code. https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=LO

The local office may not be anywhere near the biometric office (called Application Support Center). Houston for example, has one immigration field office, but three ASCs for biometrics scattered around the city.

You will get your interview letter with the location on it.

Your AP was approved with your EAD and will be on the EAD card.

Thanks for that link. Kansas field office came up after entering my zip code. So I'm happy to assume its there for now. I know my letter will have all the details but I'm trying to arrange my interview around my internship today with my supervisor as I'm going to be in Florida and I will need to fly back and fourth from Kansas. If I call the USCIS will they provide me with all the details or just tell me to wait for the letter?

Concerning the EAD\AP I'm at the card production stage, I'm assuming that it will take a few weeks to get here, which will cancel any trip I planned on having back home. I needed it by next week. Is there anything I can do to get some kind of documentation in place of the actual card that will allow me to travel as I've already been approved for it. Basically my EAD will be a few weeks late from what I was hoping.

Thanks for the feedback btw

In general no, expedited advance parole will take a couple of weeks, unless its an emergency where you can get it next day. The card is only needed for re-entry not for exit, if you are going to the UK you can always have your wife Fed Ex it to the address in the UK.

I would say do not go anywhere without an Advanced Parol in hand. If you leave the country before the interview without it, they can deny your AOS. Have you left the country since you put your application in?
