We were initially a F-2A petition but we upgraded to CR-1 in mid-August 2013 due to my husband becoming a USC.

However, our petition was recently transferred from Vermont to Nebraska on Sept 19th for processing.

I was an LPR when I applied as well. Upgraded petition when I became an USC and my case was transferred as well on 9/4/13

I came across a couple of other posters who have our same situation. Good luck to everyone for a very speedy processing at Nebraska!

I dont think at this time it really matters if it was an F2A or IR-1/CR-1. Personally I would like NSC to process it because i think it would take more time or the file could get stuck deciding between F2A/IR-1

Regardless i think they will process the files at NSC and then i think NVC will process it as IR-1/CR-1

With the ridiculously long waiting times at the VSC, I was happy to see any movement on our petition which for us was the transfer to NSC.

I agree with your comment that NSC will process all the files transferred from VSC regardless of category status. Otherwise what would be the point of the transfer in the first place? Like you said, NVC should ensure the petitions are classed accordingly.

Agreed. They might prioritize work at NVC but since F2A PD is current so there would not be much difference between F2A and IR-1 as it was earlier.

cat21, was your case also transferred from VSC to NSC? If yes when?

smile.png hello E24 my case was transferred from vsc to nsc on august 12 2013

i call the nvc they told me that i have to wait 8 weeks until they get my approved case ????!!!!! i thought the whole process will be 2 months before case complete.? ??? any body can provide info plz appreciate it.

hello lailamine sure Nvc will tell you 8 weeks but most cases recieved by nvc from uscis is 20 days or maximum of 1 month well depends cos some cases are misplaced anyways it depends on USCIS how they send the approved petitions by batches for sure, plus NVC is backlog now i think, much cases are approved so u have to understand that there are still 2011 cases that are still at NVC processing and waiting for completionsmile.png look at the timeline of milysmile.png

no0pb.gif no wait for your case number and invoice number for maximum of 2 months... well it all depends when the visa bulletin will retrogress in November, so pray you can make it before it retrogress like what people on NVC thread doing,,, hoping for the best,,, but you are blessed cos you got your noa2 good.gif

LEt me know if your pds/names are not here so i can include thanksinnocent.gif

Ok lets see how many got their noa2 and how many still waiting.... please correct wrong information and share your updates thanks..
