Congratulations!!!! Both on the approval and the twin babies as well!!! Good luck with everything!

We got our approval posted on the 28th of July but still haven't received the letter itself. So... have to wait for it. when is here send him a copy of it. And by the end of next week I should start calling to see if the case has been received at the NVC and get the SDO as it is for Dominican Republic. With that number and the letter then I will procede to schedule the interview at the Banco Popular.

Congrats on both.

When is your delivery date? Interviews are using scheduled between 2-3 months after you receive your NOA2 approval. So, your interview may be in Oct or Nov. Since your situation is different, you will need to contact the Embassy about your situation; they will probably give you an "open-cita" date. The Consulate in Santo Domingo rarely approves visas with only one person present. However, in your case they may make an exception.

In the meantime, your fiance will still need to prepare for the interview. Make sure you check out the thread in signature below to prepare for your interview.

Thank you all!!

My due date is Sept 25th but I dont think Ill make it to Sept since Dr is going to send me to rest soon since my cervix is thinning so, I'll be lucky if I make it to the end of this month.

MrTee - I did read your thread and I was gathering information but its very confusing to me all the fees and docs that he needs to bring. Does he need to bring a new acta de nacimiento and a new acta de divorcio and a new acta de matrimonio from his first marriage or the original that we send with the i-129 f application is ok?

Plus the fees for the vaccinations are in pesos or us dollars? I get the medical exam is in Us $$.

Sorry for all these questions but im trying to get more info as I can since I dont know whats gonna happen and if I'll be able to go.

Thanks for all your help! and sorry for the incovenience.

Ok, best wishes on your delivery. If the babies do come before September and (let's say) at the latest, your interview is scheduled sometime near Thanksgiving, the chances of you attending the Interview will improve. Just try to play it by ear. If you plan on attending (it will greatly increase your chances of approval), in addition, your twins will account as further proof. Take note: they may have him take a DNA test if his name is not on the birth certificates. This will be a whole other issue. So you will need to add his name after delivery (if possible) to avoid any extra drama. You will also need to bring the birth certificates to the Interview.

I know it's a lot of information. Just try to focus on one-thing at a time. This process can be overwhelming. As for your question, he needs to bring a "copy" of any document he already submitted, just in-case they ask for it again. Any documents relating to birth, marriage, and/or divorce should be brought to the interview (copies are fine).

Plus the fees for the vaccinations are in pesos or us dollars? I get the medical exam is in Us $$.

The fees are posted in US dollars, but you can pay in RD pesos as well if you wish. Most people probably pay in US dollars, due to the everchanging exchange rates. Currently its $1us=40RD pesos.

Sorry for all these questions but im trying to get more info as I can since I dont know whats gonna happen and if I'll be able to go.

Thanks for all your help! and sorry for the incovenience.

Not a problem. You can always PM if you need to.

Congrats!!! I suggest you to call immigration and let them know the situation. I'm sure that with a letter from your doctor and the proof that you just gave birth and cannot travel should be enough. But lets say they give you the cita in late oct for example maybe you could go for a few days. I think it all depends on the interview date

as per the vaccination for a k1 visa it is not required to do that it's an option and medical exam could be in dollars or pesos.

He needs his passport, acta de nacimiento inextensa which needs to be legalized and that is only valid for 2 months, 2 photos for the interview, his police certificate, 3 photos for the medical exam. that's all everything else is on you. also if he was married and divorced he needs the divorce papers.

alsooo when you give birth make sure you put your fiance's last name on the babys birth certificate. you should also take that to the interview showing the last name even if his name is not on it.
