Gosh, I go away for 2 days and there's good news everywhere. Congratulations to all who received their EADs and GCs this week.

I see some of you are worried about not getting a tracking number for your EAD cards. Ensure that you are checking the USCIS website. Often times the tracking number will not appear in the text/email notifications that you receive.

Congratulations !! I have my interview on 11/07/13. Hoping to hear the good news and keep you all posted.

ashok_ajsj I feel like i'm more excited about your interview than I am about mine lol. Anyhow, good luck to ya on Thursday. I'm looking forward to hearing about your interview.

This will be more than enough. I spent hours putting together a folder of all this material (3" binder full of supporting material) along with a 16 page photo album / story book, and when we had our interview yesterday, I pull ONE document out for review (to prove it was an original) and nothing else.

My theory is that if you have all that with you and they can see you have that with you, then this decreases your chances of being asked to provide any of it. Just a theory, based on one interview with one USCIS official.

*IF* you have already provided a lot of the supporting material in your application, then they can normally tell if the relationship is "bona fide." Again, at least based on our experience.

One interesting note, is that owning property together is a big plus (based on a comment made by our interviewer).

Good luck, and even though it is easy to say (and easier to ignore), don't sweat it. All will be good!

Hello!!

I just received my welcome to USA letter in the mail today.

There says that we need to carry our green card all the time if we are over 18. I was thinking like to make a copy of the card and carry and keep the original safe at home. What you guys will do?

Just because it get stolen will be a pain to get a new one.
