hi there..if u are married to a K1 visa holder, she/he will be the one to fill up the G325A..not the US citizen

July 25,2013--USCIS received my AOS packaet

July 31, 2013-Email/text notication from USCIS

August 1, 2013- Check encashed

August 5, 2013-Received NOA1's in the mail.

August 9,2013- Received my Biometric Appointment Notice in the mail.dancin5hr.gif

August 15, 2013. Done with my biometric..(walk-in in Local USCIS in Philadelphia)

October 2, 2013- Approved EAD and AP.
October 13, 2013-Recevied my Combo Card( EAD and AP) through mail.

November 14, 2013- Received a Letter of Potential Waiver Interview in the mail.

January 14, 2014- Approved Green Card date. Anniversary date of my 2-year Green Card.

January 23, 2014- Received my green card in the mailbox.

Reminder:

I have to apply for ROC of my 2 year green card within October 20, 2015 to December 2015.

The USC is not filing for AOS. The USC only supplies an I-864 and its supporting financial documentation. You need what is listed in the guide > http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

thanks i will follow the guide. im the us citizen filling out the paper work for wifes k1 visa. i just wanted to verify with the experts here if the us citizen needed to submite any other paper work besides financials.

Only the applicant for AOS will fill out the form g325a, and yes you need to attach the US citizen passport..idea9dv.gif

We filed for AOS last June, and I included my husband's passport.. We are now scheduled for Interview on August 29, no RFEs. Nothing wrong if you include it. Better safe than not...idea9dv.gif

You can include either copy of passport, Birth certificate or copy of naturalization certificate... I dont think it is required but it would not hurt either.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am currently in the United States under a valid K1 Visa Status. The place of my port of entry to the United States last <date> was in (Place of Entry)

Enclosed please find form I-485, Application to Adjust Status; form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization; form I-131 Application for Advance Parole Document and supporting documents.

* I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence

--- Payment in the amount of $1,070.00 (Biometrics fee included) made payable to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

--- Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

--- Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance

--- Form G-325A, Biographic Information for Intending Immigrant

--- Form I-693 sealed in envelope by Civil Surgeon and Medical Vaccination Form (DS 3025)

(these are copies of mails addressed to my name showing my husbands address, health insurance, retirement system and thrift documents that shows I am included in it or I am the sole beneficiary of his other Government benefits, you can add documents showing that you have joint accounts, etc)

- Wedding and other Photos together in the U.S.

Documents submitted are exact photocopies of unaltered certificate and documents. I understand that I may need to put forward original documents to a USCIS office, Immigration or Consular Officer if requested.

Where exactly does it say that the US citizen passport is needed for AoS? I don't believe this information is correct.

NOthing wrong if you include it.. Better to be safe than to get RFEs

If you include too much unnecessary stuff they might not bother look through it and give you an RFE for the things you already submitted.

We included my husband's passport.. the people I asked who were k1 to AOS status sent their US citizen spouse's passport, birth certificate or naturalization but didn't get RFEs.. they have their green cards already.. idea9dv.gif
