I'm finishing up some work in my home office right now, then I have a floor shift at work from 1230-430. Coming home and doing more work! Got lots to do around the house. I have loads of rebates to fill out, bills to pay, Christmas decorations to get up, laundry (the crappy real kind), and a bunch of other stuff  D and I have a 'date' scheduled tonite tho :) :) :) But it's not all fun as he has to walk me thru some computer issues

I'll have a nice long scalding hot bath, have some wine, and talk to my marra on the fone til all hours of the night. We're planning a long-distance telephone pizz-up, lol

what are you doing today?

Making cookies and cleaning this morning/early afternoon, then late afternoon going over to the new house to take some measurements, then after that going to a carol sing/cookie exchange.

Making peanut butter blossoms (from my mom's recipe, not the one on the bag of Hershey's Kisses!) and Rice Krispy Treats, even though I hate them, because the person hosting is allergic to wheat and eggs and I feel bad that she won't be able to eat anything being served (and Rice Krispy Treats contain neither).

Tomorrow we need to finish cleaning and then put up the tree, because we have someone coming to stay with us for a couple weeks and currently the guest room is covered in Christmas decorations. Poor Gareth, I promised him this year we would wait until Christmas Eve!

I can't deal with the fact that Christmas is only a few weeks away -- I have done nothing, NOTHING to prepare for it yet. Currently swamped at work so can't even get my head round it.

How did it get to be December anyway? Wasn't it only last week I was getting drunk on red wine to celebrate the new year?

NO KIDDING!

I've just reconciled myself to the fact that the older we get, the faster time goes. Remember starting a school year? Remember how long it seemed? ####### happened?

I know -- I think 2 years now feels like the same amount of time that the period between Halloween and Christmas felt when you were 8, and a semester did in college. how did I get to be so old?
