Hi everybody,

I am going to be mailing the I 129F packet on monday, Sonya and myself are very excited for the first step but I follow the checklist that is provided here and the one thing I am not sure about is the divorce papers from Sonya. Do I put that with her G325A or leave it separate.

Also I put everything together as follows

personal check for $340

G-1145

I129 F cover letter

I 129F Petition

G 325 A US Citizen

G 325 A Foreign Fiance(e)

Fiance letters of intent

Copy of Us Citizen passport

Flight info

emails

Skype log

15 pictures of us together

If somebody could let me know if that is the right order or does it matter. I know I am over thinking this but I am all nervous.

Jimmy

I dont really think it matters which order you put the documents in, as long as all the documents are there already. :)

From what I hear USCIS will reorganize your files anyway ^^

You can just leave the divorce papers separate

Do you have the attachment for question 18 of I-129f "How you met"?

Yes I do have the question 18 attachment signed and dated and her passport type photo for her and the letter of intent form me. I will leave the divorce papers behind her G325a but separated. I thinking that would be best

Divorce papers from either or both of you need to be included. You mut show you are both "free to marry" They do not "go with" anything, they just need to be in there. Hers need to be translated.

Her passport also needs to b copied & sent.. Along with proof u have met withing the last 2 years, plane tickets, Flight Itinerary, and copy of visa as well as copy's of your passport page containing date of Arrival & also date of departure (Immagration Stamps) from when u visited her.. Or vice versa if she came here to meet u.. Or both if u both have traveled to see eachother... The more the better but one time in the 2 years prior to filing the K1 is all that is needed for it to be withing the guidelines... Good luck on ur journey :)

** haha i need not give advice when I need to b taking a nap ;) I over looked u listed flight info & 15 pics!!! Duhhh... But ur Immigration stamps from ur passport r good cuz they show dates where as pics do not always indicate dates :)

I think it is important to sent all in the same folder, because my RFE was about the divorce decree evidence and I was sent my Certificate of absolute divorce from boston, so you need to thats process, cover leter, form 1-129F, form G-325 A , from both of you, signed, fee 340usd in money order or personal check, form 1-145 to received uscis actualizations or updated, birth certificate of both of you in english language, use a certificate translator if is in diferent language, passport copy of both of you, passport photo of both of you, put in small plastic bag and clipped in G-325A in the back, traveling evidence, like passport ,fligth booking, tickets of fligth, hotel, pictures of both of you and fiance family, sharing together, (puts in picture back, name of the person in the picture, date, place visits), divorce cetificate or divorce decree, for each divorce the person has, letter of intent of both, signed and dated, letter of how do you meet.Emails, chats site conversations, calls bills, gifth recipts, wester union or money gram receipt, hope all this help you, good luck.

It's a good idea to have her domestic and/or international passport copies in there, and any visas she may have from any trips you two took together. We included my fiancée's international passport in our I129F packet. The order should just be in the order that you have them written on the cover letter but with the check being the very first thing they see. Just like most people they want to see the money first :P

OK I will have to do that. I guess I will have to hold off on sending it then. I rather have everything correct. Thanks for the info

The foreign fiance(e)'s passport is not required for the I-129F petition. If there were stamps/visa in it that could help prove face-to-face meetings, then they could include copies of those, but no reason to copy the entire passport. Only the USC needs to prove citizenship for the petition and that is what the entire copy of their US passport would be for.

You don't. It is not a requirement for the I-129F petition. She will provide her passport and birth certificate later for the K-1 visa interview.

Ok thank you. That is what I thought but when I posted what i did just make sure I did it right. Other people said I needed her passport copied. Then I was getting all confused because I didn't see it in the checklist that was provided on here. Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. Jimmy

Apologizes if I gave you the misconception that the passport bio page was required, it's just evidence that she or he is who they are. It's not a requirement but it can't hurt to have it either.

Something I would add as food for thought is that some people like to do what they call Front-Loading their petitions as well. Basically it's loading your petition with files that may not be as helpful at the initial USCIS stage but at the Embassy level. Remember at some point in time they will be looking over this packet as well, and the more they see before the actual interview, the more they have to go on. However on the flip side, that is just more things they can ask (question) your Fiancé or Fiancée about. As I said this is just food for thought, as each one of have different situations we are dealing with.

You can read about front loading here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/331240-down-side-to-front-loading-k-1-petition/

This one gives a good look at pros and cons of doing it.
