I agree with dwheels about the chats, they will show the content of your conversations. I missed that you didn't include any.

I still don't think 1 or 2 money transfers are a big deal when having a joint account, whereas a lot of transfers is a red flag. Money send from the beneficiary

can imply a paid for benefit and money from the USC can be viewed as being used as a suga momma.

Even though a couple is engaged they can have a merged account, especially being together more than a few months and both have ties over there.

But dwheels also makes a good point about shifting emphasize away from the bussines and focusing more on the love relationship.

CO's sometimes are stuck in an archaic mentality of customs and don't much care for today's real world where both contribute to the household, be it engaged or married.

You need no proof of a merged household when just engaged but a bit here and there should not hurt but cement the fact that you are building a life together.

Same with having a fiance beneficiary on a life insurance policy or lease can't hurt.

Sorry to here about your delay. But remember delay does not mean denied. The sad thing is when he goes back they may just give him the visa. Its sad, four visits and an adoption with documentation is ridiculous. The "Records of money sent to him in Ghana from my account to OUR joint account" could have been a red flag. In my experience calling senators and congressmen did nothing but delay me. My advice is go to the next interview, you can go for a few days and leave. In my experience going to the next interview will be more beneficial than getting congressmen and senators involved. It will just piss the Embassy off.

I can so relate to going ballistic and being on the news ! At one point I told them I am not leaving until I speak to a chief. I waited a long time.

Hours. But instead of escorting (i.e.throwing) me out they finally let me talk to someone. No use but at least I did what I could and didn't take this

I feel better already reading this. I truly thought I was losing my mind by being sooo angry amongst all the other emotions I was feeling. I will behave myself though, I promise.

I am not sure you should be worried about that. This is a service that is offered by many congressmen and senators. They have a budget allocated for it, and forms to fill in. It is an official business... I don't see why it would be considered as a privilege in your particular case. You should activate it, as any other citizen would do (this is just my opinion, I may be very wrong...)

And if it works better, or if it goes faster because you know those people because of your work... Gosh, I hope everyone will just be happy for you and smile.

I agree with you on this but since they have not denied me yet, I want to just go to the 2nd interview with the additional evidence and then proceed from there. I personally spoke to the person in charge of these affairs at the office and she suggested that I do what was asked first and then she would take it from there. Wish me Luck. Thanks by the way,

Two things I see upfront see is where are your conversations to each other. Letters, gifts, cards. You submitted phone records but where's the emails, IM's the dialogue talking of the business, the future, the wedding. Affidavits from family attesting to your love and commitment.

Also the money transfers was a big mistake. It doesn't matter you have a business. You are single. All this co-mingling is not a normal thing that most non-married folk do. And face it its high fraud country and money coming from the USC to the immigrant will always look suspicious.

For your next interview do bring your texting, IM's chats, Skpye, emails to your interview. Seems you kind of just focused on your business relationship and not the love affair. How did you write up your relations timeline was it all business stuff or was it January 1, 20XX we said I love you. March XX, 20xx we got engaged, etc.

This whole process is about you convincing them you are in a bonfide relationship pure and simple saying you have a business means that you are in business together not that you love each other. Sorry to be blunt but you need to prepare better for your interview to be successful and be approved. They don't believe you are real. So its up to you to prove them different.

Thank you for being so blunt with me. I had to step back for a moment and realize that maybe I presented more than enough information that we have co-mingled funds, see each other very often, communicate a lot, have future plans, etc but not enough about our personal relationship. Though I think this should have been enough in most circumstances, it might have been lacking for that consulate. I intend to make love to him in the Embassy waiting room on the day of the interview if need be (just kidding), but I get it.

Good that you spoke with the person in charge of handling this, make sure you sign the privacy form before you leave and have a

a sure fire way/plan to get in touch with them quickly if needed over there, you have a very small window to work with if they want to return

your case. Inform them of the issues now so you won't have the long back and forth from Ghana to here. It's best that at a moments notice

they can intervene and spring into action while you are still in Ghana rather when you have retunred home.

These are the items I sent and what my fiance also brought to interview.

Pictures from March 2011, July 2011, Dec. 2011, July 2012, Jan. 2013 (about 60 total)

Cell phone records from 2010 til now about 2 sheets from each month iwth his number highlighted

Our relationship history

Copies of all passport pages

Birth certificate with my name on it for his son whom I have adopted

Bank account in Ghana with both our names

Papers from ownership of a Taxi we own together in Ghana

Records of money sent to him in Ghana from my account to OUR joint account

and of course all items required for the 129F visa itself.

They asked him two questions and ask him to bring more evidence of our relationship on September 12. #######??? Going to Ghana to me means going to visit everyone at home and it costs a lot of money when I visit so it is not just the price of a ticket and hotel.

I am soooo upset and do not know what to do. We have spent money on planning our wedding in September because I thought an interview in July would give me enough time to get him here by September. What else do they want?cray5ol.gif

What more evidence do they want? Both of you in bed together or what? This is just crazy. I just got mine approved and I am flying to Ghana to attend the interview with my fiance. Sorry to hear that but never lose hope. Ask him if they did ask for a specific evidence because this is crazy.

No they did not ask him for any specific evidence just to "provide additional evidence of a relationship with your petitioner."

Eg. Photos, Cards and letters, Phone Records, Remittance slips????, Emails, other evidence you might be able to provide.

I will scan this form on Monday and post it on this FORUM. It might help someone.

Don't you skype with him. Any emails and birthday or christmas card? No one writes a letter now but I think if you do have facebook, skype and email messages, you should be fine.

Lol really?? No one writes a letter now??

Between January and April I sent a postcard and some times a letter on weekly basis to my dearie and biweekly in subsequent months ... So some jerk of a CO won't say I don't have sufficient evidence... and most importantly, I know how it feels to receive a letter from a loved one as compared to an email and I wanted to give her that feeling.

It cost less than 1usd to buy postcard and stamp, hard part was going to post office but was worth it. :-D

We don't write letters because it takes a month or more to get there and some got lost. By that time we have talked a gazillion times already and the content is old.

We have send a few just to say we did, it is archaic for the CO's to still expect that and I believe the observation that no one writes a letter anymore is pretty close to the fact of digital communication in this day and age. I bet the CO's don't write letters to their families at home either.
