Hi everyone!

I'm trying to get everything together for my interview but having trouble figuring out the sponsor portion. A relative of mine will be joint sponsoring my fiance since I currently do not meet the requirements and she owns a restaurant with her husband. They filed their taxes jointly. Now, how do I estimate her income when filed jointly and what evidence must I present since she doesn't have w2s and letter from employer??

Please help! Thanks,

Amber

What figure did she put on the joint taxes as HER income? How did she derive at that amount? Do the actual tax return forms list a separate income for herself and her husband? If so, she can use a complete copy of the tax return with all forms, schedules, etc. Alternatively(or as an add on), she can provide proof that she is joint owner of the business, and so half the business income profits would be hers.
