So you are concerned about having active TB (a contagious disease) and thinking about taking antibiotics in an effort to falsify the test?

Hmm ~

If TB were easily combated with common antibiotics I don't think it would be the serious issue that it is.

If you have TB, get cured... it KILLS!

**Post moved from K1 to Philippines. Question is related to medical procedures in that country.**

Actually the question is related to TB, which is a concern in a variety of countries, the Philippines just happens to be one of them.

Here is a link to a list showing what "other" countries have TB issues. http://kff.org/global-indicator/tuberculosis-hbcs/

Question is more so related to trying to "falsify" the medical regarding TB, and not country specific.

Good luck. There is nothing you can do beforehand. Just take the test. If you test negative, then congrats. If you don't, you will need to throw that expedite out the window and just get well in 6 months.

No, antiobiotics will not help. TB is treated with 5 different kinds of medication.

Just take the test and hope for the best. If in case you are positive, it is best that you are treated before you fly.

The culture is a more dependable test because TB is a slow-growing organism.
