You may get updated soon to "Testing and Interview" for your I-485. That could mean you'll be given notice of your interview date in the next few days...or, as in my case and that of several others, you may end up waiting, and waiting, for 30-90 days (as per some recent filers) to hear anything. All the best though, two late July filers already have been issued notice of early October interview dates, so there is hope!

All the best!

Received text and emails for the approval of AP (I-131) and EAD (I-765) is in card production. Hoping for a miracle turnaround to be able to travel Friday because my sisters wedding is Saturday!

No news on an interview date yet. Thursday will mark 30 days, so I will call USCIS as per their instructions, and hope I can get through to a tier 2 person to find out what's up, but I am just happy to at least be going back to work, and to travel home for the first time almost 2 years!

@Sahara24: I wonder if you may not recieve EAD/AP because of how soon your interview is now? Still hoping it will come though!

Hey congrats, well I believe your interview day letter will come as soon you get your cards.

I have been looking at different timelines some people get the AP/ EAD before interview then the interview immediately comes after. Others like my situation they get the interview letter then 5 days before the interview day they receive their AP and EAD. so hopefully by next week I have them. I need the EAD because I have a job offer.

Congrats to people who are getting confirmation of interviews.

I really need to speak to someone to try to get my EAD expedited, if at all possible, as I have a job waiting on my EAD. I know that 1-800-375-5283 is the NCSC number but I know my case was sent to NBC/MSC from the receipt numbers. Am I able to speak to NBC direct or do I need to do it through the number above?

That's the right number to call. Here is a link about the criteria you have to fulfill to be considered for and granted expedition: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=16a6b1be1ce85210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

I did it last week and met the non profit criteria, but the job fell through due to the organization losing their funding. That's the trouble with non-profits! I called the number, spoke to someone and then they forwarded my request and two days later USCIS emailed me and asked me to fax them the job offer. So, if you meet one of the expedition criteria, it's worth a shot!

I phoned them and they went through the list of criteria. I said that the only one I could say is 'financial hardship' but I said that whether it was 'severe' or not is open to interpretation! The whole immigration process has taken a year and my funds are severally depleted. They were fine with that and have submitted my request. It's even more pressing for me now as I've recently passed my state license exam to sell life insurance but I can't apply for the license until I have my EAD!

They will probably email you and ask you to fax them evidence that proves your financial hardship. The final wait to receive the work authorization and greencard is certainly frustrating! I hope they expedite it for you. Fingers crossed!
