I didn't get my card yet !! has any one received this Email after we mailed your card?

(The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on September 16, 2013. The USPS tracking number assigned is #DCN) Does it mean that the tracking number is DCN?? Well I tried it and I got this MSG on USPS ( Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site. A return receipt after mailing may be available through your local Post Office.)

any one has same issue?

BTW - if you check your receipt number online at USCIS, the tracking number should show. However, I don't think mine is correct as it's going to Tennessee and I live in Illinois. At least, I hope it's not right! I'm not on hold to USCIS (tier 2) to see what address they have on file for me. It should be correct as all the other mail has arrived okay from them.

OK. I think I was panicking unduly. The EAS card is coming FROM Tennessee. It is due to be delivered today but was last seen in Kentucky on Monday afternoon!

Really annoyed with USPS. They have my EAD card but it went from Corbin KY to Knoxville, TN on Monday and hasn't moved. Also, because USCIS use Priority Mail, I can't query it with them until 5 days elapses. Priority Mail is no longer guaranteed to be 2 days delivery - despite the USPS website saying it should have been delivered yesterday! So annoying. I can't start my job until I have the EAD in my hand (my new employer says it's to do with 'liability').

Hi all I am still waiting for my card but I want to share everything with you guys,since it helps being patient.

before leaving the interview the lady gave me a paper saying that I was approved. She also said with that paper I can apply for social security and driving license. but when I took it to the social security office they told me I can not apply with it. :( hopefully soon I can apply with the green card.

After my interview I got an Email stating "On September 17, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283. "

the next day I got two Emails

the first one says: "On September 18, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. "

The second one says "On September 18, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

From what I read from previous posts that I should get a welcome letter then after that an Email with tracking number for my Green Card :D.

Cant wait

My EAD card arrived in the mail this morning, after my expedited EAD due to a job offer. It took a week to get here - it stalled in Knoxville, TN but I managed to get USPS to track it down and send it on.

I just checked the online status of my I-765 and it says: Card/Document Production. "On 23 sept we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you."

I seriously didnt expected any EAD card, because my intervew is on 4 Oct (after 10 days). So I thought since my interview is in less than 2 weeks I am not going to receive any EAD, because I've heard that if u have already received your EAD, you need to bring it with you to the interview and if u r approved on spot they take it away from u and u start using straight your green card... AM I wrong?

I am really surprised and confused... I thought the EAD card is temporary document proving u can work while in process AOS, but once u have your green card, EAD card is not valid anymore and u need to send it back or something like that..am I wrong?

08/02/2013 - received notifications for acceptance via mail;

08/08/2013 - received biometrics letter (appointment for 08/14) via mail, without any e-mail or text message notifications;

I was approved on sep 26th. We had a stokes interview but it went well, I think cuz we were 1 hour late, reached there at 10 instead of 9AM.. Long traffic jam and I had to pee real bad and could not hold it and took an exit that added 20 more minutes.

========Adjustment of status==========

07/10/2013 Application sent
08/13/2013 Biometrics Taken.
09/26/2013 Interview.

What prompted the stokes, so we can learn from your experience. Was it because you were late? Did you do the regular interview as a couple first? Was it immediately after the regular interview or was it scheduled for another day? Tell us more please =)

The EAD has a 1 year expiry. It is supposed to facilitate your early acclimation into your new life in the US while all of the other paperwork is on process. The advantage of getting EAD ahead or even close to your I-485 interview is that it allows you to apply for an SSN and DMV card as soon as you have it on hand. SSN number is not automatically filled with EAD so you have to apply for it separately, the card and no. is mailed within 7 days and as soon as you are issued this number you can apply for a driving license and apply for jobs. I don't think they take your EAD as soon as you are issued a GC because it is a temporary card anyway and expires automatically after 1 year from issue.

Sein oder Nichtsein, das ist heir die Frage.
