Hi,

I have filed my AOS in July and done finger print. I have received RFE regarding my I-864.

The income in I-864 from scholarship from Saudi Gov. and no tax filed for it. The RFE requires tax transcript. and says not enough income and requires proof of income that I've already sent.

This income is paid for my sponsor who is US citizen and Saudi citizen. This is a scholarship allowance that is not for school tuition.

Is this must be taxed or how can I write explanation letter and find a proof.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Your income from the scholarship is insufficient for immigration purposes. So your sponsor will have to fill out the I-864 on your behalf and submit his own tax transcripts for the past 3 years, a letter of employment and pay stubs for the last 2 periods. I am positive that would solve your problem.

Wow, that is fast. So you got your interview appointment a week after the bio schedule. When are you scheduled for interview? I hope it keeps up to speed!

Sein oder Nichtsein, das ist heir die Frage.

Hi Sone,

Check your biometrics appointment letter, I believe you'll see that it is in reference to form I-485, which is completed by you - the intending immigrant. If you are completing the process via adjustment of status (AOS), then I do not believe that biometrics are often (if ever) required for the petitioning USC spouse.

Hi Canuck,

The biometric letter is in reference to form i 485. So it is just the intending immigrant who needs the biometrics. Thanks for the quick response

Yeah. Monday's not so great as everyone who received their letter on Friday and Saturday is trying to get a walk in.

Appointments are on the hour (generally) and they do admin stuff from the end of appointments until the next hour. Maybe try at 10.20 or 11.20?
